He was truly enthusiastic—he loves what he does. We were without heat at 10 p.m., so he drove out here and got here at 10:30 or 11. He was very personable, and he did a good job. He did everything that had to be done. He fixed it, told us why it wasn't working, and solved all our problems. The pilot light on the furnace would not stay on. We couldn't light it. It was a fairly simple fix. It was corroded, but we didn't know what it was, so he took care of it. Choosing him wasn't very sophisticated. We called the plumber who had originally installed the furnace for us, but they were no longer in business. We called someone local, but they didn't do 24-hour service, and then somehow we were referred to Winters. It was by default that we ended up calling them. I'd give them an A.”

“I liked that on the couple of times we used them, the people that came out were knowledgeable, friendly, and didn't overbill. Those are all positives in my book. On one occasion, they installed a dryer vent external to the house. On another occasion, they replaced a fuse or some part of our central heating unit in the basement. I think they unclogged a showerhead, too, but that was a while back. I chose them because of something as simple as our water heaters having been serviced by them in the past. The resident previous to us had used them. They earned an A from me.”

“Winters Home Services did work for me in the past. I would say I'm happy with them. First of all, they were very honest and dependable. Second, their quote was very accurate. I thought it was really straight-up. They actually had to replace a hot water heater for me. Originally, I had a warranty with another company, and Winters actually bought them out. I wasn't very happy with the original company, but since it was under warranty, I had to go with them, and when Winters bought them out, I was very happy. I've actually made some referrals already to some other people for Winters. I'm going to go onto a service contract with them for my heating and air conditioning. I would give them an A+.”

“They were on time, and they did what they said they were going to do. They were here on two different occasions. The first was to address a faulty pressure and temperature release valve on the hot water heater, and the second was to replace the circulator pump. I had tried a different company before, and they were not timely. I had heard about Winters from someone else who had a good experience with them, so I went with them. On service alone, I'd give them an A+.”

“As far as our purposes, it was kind of a tricky time frame. The service I had was on the eve of a storm, so they did a pretty good job. They were responsive in giving me the knowledge of the other stuff that they needed to address. They were up front as far as the analysis of the problem. I was working remotely, so my wife was at home, and she was taking a look at the issue. They kept me informed along the way as far as what the cost would be and what I would be comfortable with doing, so I very much felt, for lack of a better phrase, empowered in the process and decision-making. My wife was drawing a bath for our son, and that same nozzle came off the shower and the faucet. It wouldn't turn, and the water was running. It was something internal that had broken in the handle, so we had to cut the water supply from the basement to make sure the water stopped running. They had to go in there and find the right part to replace the part. I'd called a few places, but we kept on getting bumped down the line because there were churches where heaters were failing. We got bumped a little bit down the line, but they kept us relatively informed of the situation, so I'd give them an A.”

“I liked their timing and responsiveness. They replaced a water tank for a water heater. I chose them over a different company because when it broke, they were the only ones who probably were open. I'd rate them an A+. I haven't had any issues.”

“It was the first time I used them, and I was kind of not sure about them, but he did a good job, so I was really pleased with them. He wrapped the pipes so they wouldn't freeze. He put electrical tape on it, so I plug it in, and the tape heats up and keeps the pipe from freezing. I chose them over a different company because he was referred to me. This man was very good. He went over everything that he'd done during the day and what was to be expected the following time when he showed up. If he was delayed at all, he would constantly keep in contact with me. He brought other people in on the job, and he always let me know that they were coming. He was just very communicative. There were absolutely no surprises. The quote was spot on, and it was a pleasure doing business with them. I'd give them an A+.”
