“We didn't have the best experience with them. The work they did was fine, but they weren't very easy to deal with. The people who they sent were great, but we had a problem with the owner. He was kind of yell-y and not good. They were installing a new HVAC system, a high-efficiency system. We'd used them before and they were great, but this time, things came in broken, and they were like, 'That's fine.' They had a hard time. The owner finally said he wouldn't talk to us at all, so he sent his other person to talk to us. We got several emails that were like, 'I'm really sorry for flying off the handle,' and then the next time, it happened again. I think their work is probably—the people that come to your house are great, but there's a lack of communication. They had to redo things a couple of times because the foreman wasn't there to tell them exactly where the vent was supposed to go, so they got really upset about that. One of the fans came in bent. I think the service end of it, their HVAC abilities, are good. It's just the customer service was difficult. I'd give them a B+ on quality of work and a D for customer service. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them.”

“They're great. We just used them for like routine services on our HVAC, so the service the A/C in the summer and heat in the fall or winter. They're reliable. I think their prices are good. “I have used them in the past. They were really responsive and did a good job. They're pretty honest. They actually messed up a little bit in the beginning, but then he came out and sent somebody to fix it free of charge and took ownership of their mistake. I would give them an A+. I wish they had sent the right person to begin with. I think the guy that came out- my guess is he had less experience, so it took him a long while to figure out what was the mistake. The other guy they sent me just like that knew what needed to be done. I wish I had gotten the second guy first.”

“Unique Indoor Comfort came to service the air conditioning. He was wonderful. He explained everything he did after he did it and seemed very capable. We're both teachers here, so I would give them an A. No complaints. He explained anything that he found, and I thought he was quite good. “Basically, they serviced my air conditioner—it was leaking. Actually, the lines were blocked, water was leaking, so they cleared the line, serviced it, changed the filter, and whatever else. I liked their service enough to sign up for a maintenance plan, so they're scheduled back in the spring for the next summer. “I think they had to come back two times. They came the first time, they did not figure out what happened and then they came back again. The A/C, the refrigeration was leaking. I think the first time they were not able to figure out what happened and then they came back and found out some other things. So they did those as well, but they did it timely. We've been doing all our A/C and furnace stuff since the early part of this year, so I did not change. They're good. Other than one or two people, I think they're good. I would rate them B I would say.”

“I used them in the winter, but I wasn't very happy with their service. They came out multiple times. It was a problem with my HVAC. Every time they came, I had to pay, and they could never figure out what the main reason was. By the third time, my HVAC was bad, and I had to replace the whole thing. So basically, they never could find the root cause before it went bad. It was the middle of the winter in Boston, which was a very harsh winter this year, and we had no heat for a couple of days, and I had to spend money and change it anyway. So I think they didn't do their job properly, otherwise I could have prevented this if they had told me the first two times when they came that they couldn’t figure out what was going on. They just looked at the symptom and just did some workaround—just let it run for a couple of days—but they never figured out what the root cause was, why the problem I called them for was happening. At the end, my HVAC just went bad. I'll give it like a C.”

“They sent a very competent technician to our house to help troubleshoot a problem that we had for a very long period of time. As a company, they have always stood behind their work, which is something you don't find with every company. They continue to impress me in the fact that they stand behind the work they do. The main thing they did, and it's pretty technical, but there's this thing called a TXV—it's part of my high-velocity air conditioning unit—and they determined that the TXV that was installed in my system was actually the wrong size for what I needed. They had to first get to the bottom of that, and then they had to replace it. It wasn't very easy because the unit itself is buried in my attic where there's barely any room to get in there, so it's a very tight space they had to work in to replace that. Once they're done, they then have to restart the whole system up and make sure everything is working because that type of maintenance requires them to first evacuate all the refrigerant from the system. The other thing they did—there were two parts—was they installed something known as a low ambient control kit on my outside air conditioning condenser. The combination of both of those solved the problem that I was having for a very long period of time where I couldn't run my air conditioning when the temperature was on the colder side outside, and the two things they did repaired that for me. It'd definitely be excellent—no complaints. I deal with a lot of companies, and most of them do not have the integrity like Unique Indoor Comfort.”

“The technician was supposed to be here at 11 o'clock in the morning, and he didn't arrive until a little after 12:30; that's a negative. They didn't even call me. I ended up calling them to find out where the tech was, and the kid on the phone in the office told me he was stuck in traffic on 128. When the kid got here, I said, ‘Traffic is bad, huh?’ He said, ‘No, it wasn't a problem.’ So, I had a negative experience with them. I'm trying to find another company to do my tune-ups for my Unico A/C system. I have a Unico air conditioning system, and they're one of the certified dealers that can come and tune it up and stuff. I would do a D, and I won’t use them again.”

“They were prompt, and they've been informative when I've had questions. They did a boiler cleaning and service. I got an estimate from them for a big job, but we haven't committed to that yet. They merged and purchased a company that we did business with to do the gas conversion several years ago. I was happy with that work. They were very knowledgeable and had a good price. The person I was dealing with seemed to have experience and good knowledge about what needed to be done, and I was very happy with the work that they did and the workmen that did the work. I wasn't here when they did the work. As far as I know, they showed up when they were supposed to, they did the work, and as far as I know, it's been done properly, so I’ll give them an A.”

“We were with them before they became Unique Indoor Comfort. I just happened to like the owner; he's been very good, they've been very responsive, and I know that they do a really, really good job when we have our yearly cleanout of our systems. They put in new heating, new air conditioning, and a new water heater system. We chose them because they had really good ideas. We have a very old house, and he had really good ideas about what to do with zones and everything else. They were really very good. I would give them an A.”

“They came, did the job, and did it well. They rerouted a vent that our builder had not installed properly. Their customer service was good. They're really responsive from what I remember. It was a bit of a hiccup—our builder said he'd cover it, and there was a hiccup there because they tried to bill the builder, but they sent us the wrong bill, so we had to work through that, and eventually the builder paid them, so that was fine. They were able to navigate that. Our friend actually recommended them in the HVAC world.”

“They're very responsive, and they come immediately when we have an issue or want to schedule something. They provide service on our air conditioning and heating. It's routine maintenance—we have a service plan with them. They just did some maintenance recently. The customer service has been great. They're very, very responsive, they answer the phone quickly on an emergency basis, and they come. I chose them because we had another company that was very unreliable and unprofessional. I'd give them an A.”

I think they're very conscientious of getting the work done efficiently and correctly, and they keep the area clean, those are the main things. They take care of my heating and air conditioning in here, so I have them come a couple times a year to service both of them. I've been here for three years, and I've had them all that time. “I had a problem with my HVAC unit, and they actually troubleshot very well. I actually called several technicians before them; no one could really fix the issue, and they were the ones who fixed it on the first try. The customer service was great. The number one thing for me was that the problem I had with the system was unique—nobody really knew what to do with it, and they were the only ones who knew how to fix it. That was quite remarkable. I would say they’re an A.”

“I started with Climate Technologies and continued with Unique Indoor Comfort when they changed names or merged, but I’ve since had someone else in here. Unique Indoor Comfort put a humidifier in. I found out it’s not sized properly for the house. Really, pretty much everything that they did, I’ve since found out was not good. My experience was not positive, and I certainly couldn't recommend them.”

“I actually didn't work with them because that was with a condo association and I was the head trustee, so I didn't actually work with them directly. They actually worked through the property manager, not me. As far as I know, they did a good job. I know they did a good job, and they got the job done. “They responded to my telephone call. That was one of the attractions, because it's local. I figured with somebody local, if I do have a problem, I could call them back.
