One project involved updating the light fixtures in 3.5 bathrooms and what I thought was updating the medicine cabinet in one. After 2 weeks of waiting, they delayed another two weeks because the light fixtures had to be special ordered. The guy shows up on a Wednesday and leaves a hole in the wall in one bathroom only to return the following Monday without letting me know this would be a four day project. The medicine cabinet was replaced by a simple square mirror. And the special order light fixtures I waited an extra 2 weeks for were nothing special but a metal rectangular box with light bulbs. I could have found something better at Home Depot! What should have been a single day project took 4 days with results that are below average (see pictures). The other project was repairing and re-staining my deck. Although they managed to do this in one day, after waiting 3 weeks for special order wood, they only did part of the deck, so the color, a horrible looking red, doesn’t even match the parts they didn’t touch. I expected them to refinish the WHOLE deck, not just parts so the color doesn't match! I won’t even mention the over priced cost. I hired them as an out of state rental property owner, and they failed miserably. The headache dealing with their delays, excuses and sub par quality of work was certainly not worth it and not something I would wish on anyone. I usually only leave good ratings when it is deserved and just stay silent when the service is bad, but in this case I had to leave a warning.

I feel that it was a bit pricy for the work I had done. I had wire racks removed from three closets. That said, the professional they sent was excellent. He was on time, he did a great job with the uninstall. He did an excellent job of cleaning up. I chose Mr. Handyman’s services knowing the price upfront ( I appreciate that), because they were license, bonded and insured. It provided a sense of reassurance that the work would be top quality and the would be responsible if there were any mishaps. I would definitely use them in the future;

**UPDATE** Shortly after posting my review, I spoke with the owner about my concerns, and he offered to refund me without question after reviewing the photos. I appreciated that he took ownership of the poor craftsmanship, and for that reason, I agreed to his offer to have a different handyman attempt the repair. The follow-up repair attempt was night and day compared to the initial work and would easily be a 5-star rating, which is why I updated my review to 3 stars to average the two experiences. I included pictures of the updated repair for comparison. ------- Extremely disappointed with the services provided and the disingenuous pricing of the work. I requested assistance with repairing a leaking sliding glass door and fixing a small hole (1.5" x 1.5") in my garage siding. I was quoted $450- $550 to fix the sliding door, and the siding repair was not included in the estimate. The repairman did not attempt to recreate the leak for the sliding door and suggested either caulking a small gap that might be the issue or replacing the entire door assembly. I said I would take care of caulking the door because I needed to clean the surfaces beforehand. We spent about 5 minutes addressing this. We then moved to the hole in the garage siding. Initially, the repairman asked if I wanted him to caulk the hole. Caulk seemed inappropriate for the repair, and I suggested using Bondo or something similar. He said he wouldn't be able to match the siding profile perfectly, but he could try. He also said he wasn't sure he could match the color, but he would take a paint chip to Lowe's to see what he could do. I understood the limitations and approved his attempt at the repair. I wish I hadn't; I would have been better off going to Lowe's, picking up some epoxy, and spending half an hour doing it myself. He said the paint chip he brought in wasn't big enough to color match, so he got a can of spray paint that looked close. I approved him to try it nonetheless and again, wish I hadn't. After finishing the job, the repairman gave me the invoice and said he came in at the low end of $450, which was confusing to me because that was the estimate for repairing the sliding door; we hadn't discussed an estimate for repairing the hole in the garage. I addressed this directly and was met with the response that "I have no control over the pricing, I just punch it in the computer, and it gives me a total." After including the cost of the spray paint and the credit card processing fee, the bill was $534.20 for a poorly executed repair of a 1.5" x 1.5" hole in some metal siding. That's absolutely insane. I would caution against using this company's services due to the poor workmanship and the predatory pricing. I tried calling to address this issue, but I couldn't reach anyone other than an AI phone agent.

Stephen was excellent. He arrived on time, was very professional and friendly, and found better ways to do the work than what I had been envisioning. The work that he did was great. We had a fascia that had fallen off reinstalled and two bathroom fans vented to the outside that had been just wanting into the attic.

Extremely satisfied with the work they did. The employees Jamie and Leland was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and on time. I would hire them again if needed. Also, the office/administrative Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable also. I had a great experience with this company and would highly recommend them.
