Josh Brown and Manuel Cruz did an outstanding job. Before and after photos speak for themselves. Josh and Manuel were very professional yet friendly. Josh kept me informed of each step and even allowed me to go in the crawl space to see for myself. Of course I had 50 questions which he took the time to explain. Not once did he get upset or say I was in the way. I looked forward to them showing up on time each day. I even got a notice to confirm their location and travel route to my house. Interesting to note, the inspector for Stafford County commented he was impressed with the work completed by Josh and Manuel citing he had never seen such an awesome job. Since completion, I have shown people at my church the before and after pictures as well as everyone that visits must see the work completed by Josh and Manuel. I am beyond pleased. I am grateful!

My crawlspace was a disaster, a place I avoided going unless absolutely necessary. I knew we had some significant problems with the joists for the house, and probably some mold as well. A prior owner had allowed a water leak to go on so long that it rotted out several joists. The renovation done to the house prior to my purchase wasn’t done very well, and there was a significant part of the floor that sagged noticeably. I consulted a couple of companies to address these issues, including JES. Paul Kelly carefully inspected my crawlspace and then sat down with me and my wife to present some options. We elected to go with a full encapsulation, but first I wanted the joist issues to be fixed. Paul came up with a clever plan to add 5 Intellijack units together with 2 steel I-beams, some sistering of some joists, and some shims for the main beam of the house. JES took care of all the permitting. They made it super convenient for us. Soon I was contacted by JES to schedule the work, which was to be done just about a month after our initial consultation. They said it might take 3 days, but probably only 2. Juan Escobar Martinez was the foreman of the 2-man crew who came to do the work. Juan was very kind and professional as he explained what they would be doing. He always took the opportunity to ask me if I had any questions. I was amazed to see how efficiently they worked. In 2 days, they were finished. They cleaned up after themselves. Now my crawlspace is actually a pleasant place to enter. We can use it for storage, if need be. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work JES did. It is a first-rate company.

Update: JES reached out to me and addressed my concerns. They sent out a completely different crew to address the issues and completed the job as originally explained. The second crew was only supposed to be here for a few hours to fill in a trench with gravel but ended up taking two more days to complete. So an encapsulation that was only suppose to take three days turned into five. I’m not upset as I assume the second crew was about as impressed with the first crews job as I was and made sure the job was done correctly the second time. I am very satisfied with the second crews work. JES fixed the issues and completed the work they said they were going to do I just wish it’d been done right the first time. I would recommend JES but with the advice to be present while the work is being done, ask questions, and make sure to immediately address any issues so the job gets done correctly and to your satisfaction. Overall I am satisfied with the work that was done. My crawlspace has never looked better. Encapsulation so far was well worth the expense I can already tell a difference. No more moldy damp smell. My house is warmer and my furnace isn’t running as much. I’m happy I chose to go with JES over the other companies I got quotes from. ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) Extremely Disappointed – Poor Communication and Incomplete Work I was referred to JES Foundation by family and friends who spoke highly of their professionalism, punctuality, and quality of work. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. From the start, communication was a major issue. I was told I’d need to be home for the beginning and end of the work. When I confirmed my appointment, I was informed the crew would arrive first thing in the morning. However, they didn’t show up until nearly 3 p.m. I called the company multiple times trying to find out where the crew was and ended up being transferred around and leaving messages with no real answers. To make things more confusing, I later received a call saying the crawlspace work would actually start the next day and that the mold crew was coming that day — even though the mold crew had already come the day before. When the work was finally completed, I was told by the crew that they hadn’t received an order for gravel to fill the trench in my crawlspace, even though my contract clearly included gravel and I was charged for it. Instead, they covered a 3-foot-deep trench with foam board. I’ve tried repeatedly to reach the crew’s superintendent to resolve the issue, but I guess he’s only available at 9 a.m. The one time he called me at that hour, I missed the call and returned it less than an hour later — only to reach voicemail and never receive a call back. I expected a professional, well-coordinated experience given JES’s reputation, but what I received was disorganization, poor communication, and incomplete work. I am frustrated, disappointed, and feel overcharged for services that were not performed as agreed. Sadly, I will not be recommending JES Foundation to anyone.

We had an outstanding experience with JES on our crawlspace repair. Blake, our inpsector, was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and professional from the very beginning. He took the time to explain exactly what was going on under the house, walked us through the solution in detail, and answered every question without any pressure. You can tell he truly understands the product and cares about getting it right. Dustin, the foreman, and his crew were just as impressive. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean and organized, and communicated throughout the entire process. They made sure we understood what was happening each day and reviewed everything with us before they left. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the crawlspace is top notch. If you’re considering crawlspace work, ask for Blake and Dustin’s crew — they are professional, respectful, and deliver high-quality results. Highly recommend!

We were very pleased with the service we received by Josh and Manuel for our crawlspace encapsulation. They were both very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The job was performed 1 day ahead of schedule, we were given pictures and every step of the way was explained. They called before coming and were always on time. Josh even found and brought to our attention a leak! We would definitely recommend the 2 of them to our friends and family. They are an asset to your company!!!
