"I am disappointed at the last fix. I purchased a new air conditioner last year. It is under warranty. It was not operating correctly, evidently due to a wiring problem. They charged me $1500.00 to run new wiring, I was way overcharged, when I overheard that it should have been around $300 or $400. There was also a lot of time spent figuring out what the issue was, but that wiring should have been checked with the install. This type of treatment was a major reason I went with Universal in the first place, they were very honest and completed work. The person who did this work was a new technician from who i had before."

"My elderly mother's home burst a pipe in the ceiling of her dining room in the Texas grid failure. Upon repressurizing, more pipes burst. Between an electrician and emergency plumbing, at $829 each for the first couple of pipes and $515 each thereafter, Universal Home Experts charged $7087 to fix 9 broken pipes and take down a chandelier before they were told to shut off the water and leave the house. Still repairing the house, realizing how badly we were gouged, I have grown angrier and angrier in the time since. I have never left a negative review for a company, because such reviews are either written by the extremely satisfied or the extremely dissatisfied, which offers little guidance for those doing research on goods and services. Take this as extreme dissatisfaction. I will never recommend this company and I will actively discourage others from using Universal Home Experts, after being taken advantage of after the freeze."

Mid way I was asked to pay another 1700$ !!!, without any change to the work, when I objected strongly they continued. The work to be done was very easy, just flushing a drainage pipe."

"These people are dishonest and not ethical. They charged me $ 413.00 to unclog a vanity lavatory sink. The only thing the person who came did was to take the water off the sink and pass the snake. He said the pipe was clogged due to AC condensation, just assumed, because he didn't touch at all the drain pipes or anything under the sink. The person who came spent over 1-1/2 hours for the visit, but about 1 hour of those inside his truck/van I don´t know doing what. I would never recommend this people. I will put a claim to the BBB."
