I bought a home, and a number of the outlets were not working—the GFI—and they determined that they were all tied together, and they separated them and put in new circuits. “I think he was doing, in our apartment complex, replacements of some breakers in the breaker boxes, back during the hurricane season. It was OK. It took longer than we would have imagined, and I think it was more expensive than I was told later by our apartment complex manager. I would grade the overall experience with a B, considering that it took quite a while. But the circumstances were—the price I didn't verify, because I needed the work to be done—because four units were without power. I would not rate them the best. I think it was higher priced than we normally get it, and it took a while. Quality of work—I cannot judge that. When they repaired it, it worked. We were cut off from the power; they did the work. Customer service—I dealt over the phone with the rep.; I can't recall if I met with the gentleman once. It's sort of difficult to say. Punctuality—it took probably two weeks before they finished the repairs, and I think they said that they needed something, so it's difficult for me to say they are right or not right. After the hurricane, it was difficult to get anybody.”

“It's been a while. Mostly positive. I had some difficulties getting invoices from them after the fact. That's the only downside. They did a great job. They came out kind of for an emergency. But I was trying to utilize my homeowners' warranty, and unfortunately, I missed the opportunity, because I never could get an invoice sent over to me. I would definitely consider using them again, but I would probably expect an invoice before I paid. I would grade the overall experience with a B-. All because of the invoicing. Customer service—because of the invoicing and communication I had with them.”

“The materials used were not what I contracted for. They were cheap and the lighting is inadequate. The supervisor promised to order the correct materials, but he never did. I was charged an exorbitant fee for materials that were not installed. I thought I was getting LED lights that would improve the brightness of my rooms, but this did not happen!!!”

“When finished installing the A/C units, they left a little bit of dust and small insulation debris around the vents on the rooms. I did not mind telling them to clean, and I offer my vacuum because they had brooms, and they were soaking wet and thirsty. My only concern was that they were already super tired and probably had some heat stress from working on the attic that they did not have extra energy to do a thorough clean up. One last thing, the big vacuum that is used to clean and suck the ducts actually set off the carbon monoxide detectors in all rooms, if someone had been on a room for a while, they could have been exposed to CO and passed out. Better ventilation is needed when using that machine, the monitors read 2ppm above the threshold for breathing air in one room at multiple times. Anyway, overall their service is spotless and they do act fast when requested and they do it very professionally!!! Kuddos, but watch out for safety.”

“The guy broke my light fixture on my ceiling fan. I never got over that. He said it was loose but it was not. I tried to order another one like he suggested, but they don't make that type any more. So my fan looks ugly. Sad too because I was going to use them again. He could of admitted it was his fault and maybe give me a discount. But they lost my loyalty over that. Sorry sad but true”

“They showed up when they were supposed to, they gave us an estimate, and they followed the estimate. They were here a lot longer than I think they expected, but they didn't charge us any more. They did a good job, and the electrician that was here was very good. They installed a fan, put in a new switch for the hot tub, and did some work on the electrical box in the backyard and a fire panel. I’d give them an A.”

“Everything got resolved, so that was the main thing I liked about them. The electrical problems that we had at the house were fixed, and that was all we wanted done. We’d had problems with the power and some of the electrical circuits in the house, and we got new smoke alarms as well. Everything was explained to us correctly, and it was easy to understand what was needed and what work was to be done. They have to get an A because we didn’t have any problems with the service we got.”

“They've done two pieces of work for me but the latest one was really good. They improved from the first experience. This trip I had them come out to repair some work that the first guy had done incorrectly and I ended up having a short on one of my wires. He seemed more competent and just seemed to be a better fit for the business. He was more personable that time. This time he got a B, an A would be spectacular and I'd be looking for things for them to come and do for me.”

“He's my neighbor, he came in did the work that was needed in a quick manner and it was a house that's my mom's house and my mom passed away so I was flipping the house so everything passed inspection as we expected it would so there was no further problem. One of the breakers had gone bad outside so they were replacing that. We had used them before and before they both moved into the same neighborhood so we were customers before we met them. I give them an A definitely.”

“I liked the young man that did the service. There was a noise coming from my transformer box, and they fixed that. My home had just finished its two-year, new homeowner warranty, and he sent me an email that showed what it should've been. The builder had installed something wrong, and he told me what to say to them when I called them—to tell them they should be the ones to pay for it. I got my money back from the builder because of what he did for me.”

“We really liked him, he did a great job. They took the call nice, they were prompt, they were on time when they said they would be, quickly diagnosed the problem, took care of it, price was fair. They had to do some sort of ground wire outside, had to fix our doorbell and also our light fixture. In the neighborhood there was always a vehicle, I saw the advertising on a truck. B, I don't think anybody can do something perfect.”

“Mister Sparky was satisfactory. They straightened up a lot of stuff that needed to be straightened up. I live in a house that was built in 1938, and we had just finished replacing some things so the house wouldn’t burn down. After doing that, we had some further trouble, and that's when I called them in. The fella who came out stands out most to me. He was very clear about what he thought needed to be done, and he showed me through what he proposed. When it was said and done, I felt good about the work he had done, and we haven't really had trouble with the electrical in the house since then. They changed some things in the main circuit box, and then they reran some connectors and wires up through the attic, also. They earned an A.”

“I have a home warranty company, the home warranty company told me something was wrong that I knew was not wrong and Mister Sparky found what the true problem was not what the other company told me. The other company wanted to charge me for miscellaneous items that I knew was not true so I had to call a second electrician and they confirmed what I was thinking. They never found the original problem but they confirmed what I was thinking was at least the truth. The original company told me there was a broken line in the house which I knew was not true, my power went out when there was a rain storm when it got wet, the original company told me there was a broken line in the house which I knew was not the problem so they were able to fix the problem without busting holes in my walls and replacing everything. I think somebody had used them before but I can't confirm that. I'm just going to go with B because the only reason I'll go with B is because I realize my situation was very rare even for an electrician.”

“The electrician they hired was a good guy. The pricing structure is kind of interesting, because even if you need something small done, you still have to pony up at least $100. I'm trying to decide if I prefer people that charge hourly, or if I like the sort of price Mister Sparky has—those price categories depending on the length and difficulty of the job. In some instances you might overpay, and maybe in some instances it all balances out. But I spent quite a bit of money with them last time they came through, so I don't know how it would've compared to hourly electrician. I was selling my house, and there were a few small fixes that really were inconsequential, but there was a whole bank of outlets on one wall of the garage that didn't work. The buyer wanted it fixed, so the electrician discovered that in the attic somebody had cut some wires and they were still hot which is really pretty dangerous. I guess the builder must have done that before we bought the house. I have no idea why they did that, and I'm very thankful that I lived in the house for all those years and no negative consequences came of it. In order to fix all that—and I think the wiring in the attic was just kind of screwed up anyway—it fell in the highest price range category so it was a big repair. I had the same electrician at my house twice. In fact, I requested him the second time because I liked him. Since I really have no data on what I paid versus what I would have paid by the hour, based on the electrician, the way he explained things and his promptness, overall I would probably give them an A. I really have no major complaints.”
