“They are really honest. You can see everything that is in the contract, in the job. They are on time and they leave it clean and are perfect with times. The job is perfect, no questions asked. Anything you discuss with them, you see in your home. I cannot say anything negative. I want to say thank you to Scott and the salesman and everyone from customer service to accounting to the electrician, the plumber and assistant plumber. I am really happy with the energy efficient heating system in my house. They had perfect customer service. They called me back and were excellent. They are good with time, and if you call with a problem, they will come out on the same day. I have never seen another company this good.”

“I worked with them on two different occasions. One was good and one wasn't so good. I had a couple of experiences with them in my business. In both instances, they were good experiences. They did some AC work the first time. They really didn't do much and then they did some plumbing work, which I was happy with. The second time was at my home. It took two or three days before they were able to come out. It was a plumbing issue. They charged me $5, $49, $95, something like that just to diagnose the problem. Then they want $45 to fix the problem. I thought that was highly outrageous seeing how it was only going to take them a half hour to 45 minutes. I refused to have them do the work and I called the plumber that I'd used in the past who was really busy and that's why I called Cranney. I called the plumber I used in the past and it cost me $15 to have the job done versus $45. What was good is that they were on time, of course I was the first call in the morning so that helped and they got the job done. It was a little expensive, but I felt comfortable with it even though it was a little pricey. I wasn't that uncomfortable with it, whereas with my personal experience, my home experience. I'm just glad I didn't go forward with having them do it because I just wouldn't have felt at peace with that. I had to wait all day for the guy to show up and it was two to three days out from when I called and made the appointment. The people on the phone are good. I blame the technician for getting there so late. Overall, I would give them a C. One's commercial and one's residential. To be fair, the commercial was good and the residential end sucked. I don't think I'd recommend them unless they're desperate and they can't get anybody else, they can give them a shot. They'll eventually get there.”

“They were actually horrible. I'll never call them again. I had them. I signed up for one year and at first they came and did a bunch of work for my house. They did some electrical. They did some plumbing. The electrical came out fine. The guys came in. They gave me a price. They did all of the electrical work and that was fine. Then I called them back because there was a water leak and they sent me an apprentice. He had to replace a ball valve and a four-foot piece of proper pipe. They sent me an apprentice. The kid spent four hours trying to get the pipe together. He couldn't get the water out of the lines. He was working until nine o'clock at night. I finally had to say, 'Kid, listen. I've got kids. If you can't get this thing in a few more minutes, you're going to have to come back the next day.' He got so aggravated. He was a nice kid, but he came back the next day. I let that go. Then I was having a problem with my boiler. I think it was a plumbing issue on my boiler. The guy comes over and he says to me, 'Oh you've got a cracked can. It's going to be about $2, or $25 to fix.' I go, 'I'll call you back.' So I call another plumber to give me a second estimate. The plumber comes over and he's like, 'You don't have a cracked can. Your can is made out of metal. It doesn't crack. The reason your boiler is losing water is because the duct work on the top is crooked.' He undid a screw, he straightened it out, put the screw back in. It took him twenty minutes. He said, 'I just stopped your leak.' Meanwhile, Cranney wanted to charge me $2, or $25 for a cracked can when that wasn't even the problem. I'd give them a C overall. The guys were nice. The employees are nice. It's not that fault. The girl was pretty rude on the phone to me. I won't use them again.”
“They were very helpful. They were determined problem solvers. Our situation was sort of not a very common problem, and they didn't stop. Like, they occasionally kept trying to figure out what was wrong until they fixed it. They were resourceful and knowledgeable. It was on our HVAC unit. Our heat wasn't working, so they troubleshot our system and cleaned out our chimney, cleaned our filters, and looked at the fans. They just did a full workup and then found that our new thermostat that had been installed was wired incorrectly. So, they had the wiring guy come out, and it was just really quick. They called him up; he was working another job, but he finished that and came right over, so they were very punctual. They were great. I liked them a lot. I'd give them an A.”
“They did exactly what they said they would do, and they told me up front how much it would cost. I was just very pleased. I had two things done. I had electrical work done, I had an overflow in my cellar, and they took care of that. It was a plugged sewer pipe that they took care of. I heard about them because one of my friends had some work done by them. I'm pleased with their work. I'm going to say A- because they try to talk you into a service contract, and as a retired person, paying $20 a month is a little bit more than I can swing. Then for that $20 a month, you get a certain percentage off your next service, but the problem is I didn't use the service, and so I'm paying $20 a month basically for nothing. That was the downside. That was my fault, though, in a way, because I bought into it. I have since gotten out of it, but I think they should just offer it across the board. Once you pay your bill, they should be happy to get their money. If you recommend them or something, then they will give you some kind of credit or something.”

He had his book, and he opened his book up to the pages. He had prices for everything, and he wasn't even there an hour. The labor cost was probably $600, and parts were probably a couple hundred. I don't remember the exact number, but it was outrageous. He did a good job. The work was fine, it's just I would never use the company. I felt like I was way overcharged. I chose them because someone recommended them. I had another electrician doing the work, but someone else recommended them, so I called them. The serviceman did a good job. He had his little notebook. His notebook explained everything he was going to charge me for. He wasn't even there an hour. That kind of labor cost, I thought, was a little bit absurd. I think I'd give them an F because like I said, it was because of the cost. I would never pay that kind of money. The serviceman did a nice job, it's just the rate was outrageous. I'd give them probably an A on service. The price was ridiculous. I mean, I was shocked when he handed me the bill. I was absolutely shocked. It was 700 some-odd dollars. He wasn't even there an hour. He put a light in, and then he had to do some troubleshooting or something for me. It was just outrageous. But the serviceman was very kind and very efficient, and I certainly had no problems with the service; I just had problems with the price.”
