We've had Cranney here for decades! This time it was for plumbing, a new shower! OMG...as always, these guys were incredible! We had Jonathan and Brandon. Knowledgeable, and able to impart that knowledge, easily for a layman to understand! Very hospitable kids and great to have in the house, with our dogs and all of us! :) I have to add...the craftmanship was incredible! You just don't have that level of skilled craftmanship anymore in this world. It was astounding to see. I'll be honest, Cranney is not cheap, however, you get what you pay for. I can't emphasize this enough...they are worth every cent and MORE! :) Thank you, Jonathan, Brandon and everyone at Cranney! You folks are AWESOME! :) Sep. 28th, 2026: Once again, Cranney comes through. We screwed up our kitchen sink, water filter and spigot. Rob C., the plumber came by in a couple of hours and not only fixed our mess but installed the new one we had. He didn't have to do that! That's the Cranney difference. Thank you Rob and everyone there. :)

We've been using Cranney for years, for seasonal checks/routine maintenance, occasional HVAC/plumbing issues, and also a few big projects. A big reason we like Cranney is because they are reliable. When you call, they will show up. I especially appreciate how professional, courteous, and personable their tradespeople are. It’s a breath of fresh air. Our most recent experience was particularly good. On Sunday evening, the pilot on our 15yo gas water tank finally gave up. I called Cranney after dinner, and was scheduled for service the next day. The guys who came, Marco and Zach, were great! They were upbeat and communicated well, and even put on shoe booties every time they walked through the living space. They diagnosed the issue, explained the pros/cons of a fix versus a replacement. We decided a replacement for our old, out-of-warranty tank. Marco asked us about the year-round conditions in our basement, and he and Zach took careful measurements to see what would work in the space we have. They walked us through all the available options (gas, heat-pump, electric, etc.) and the pros and cons of each in terms of efficiency and performance. We decided on a heat-pump/electric hybrid, and they contacted a Cranney electrician on the spot to find out what electric work would be needed. The next morning, Marco and Zach were back to install our new water tank. The electrician (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember!) was also great and easy to talk to. They all did a beautiful job with the installation, especially with the piping leading up to the water tank (which was a confusing mess before). After installation, they explained everything they had done, and showed us how to use the new system. By 2pm, they were done and out the door. We had hot water from a new tank less than 48 hours after we first noticed a problem! One caveat about Cranney is that they’re expensive, and I sincerely hope it’s because they’re paying their guys on the ground well.

They have a good system of techs and technology to be organized, somewhat timely, and reasonably trained. I think the disconnect with them is the price to quality. They are easily the most expensive company to go with in our area, but price doesnt match the experience frankly. It took longer than expected, there were a bunch of guys literally just walking around just texting and hanging out, trash left behind, smoking in the backyard, smudges left on units and walls, and we had to read manuals to figure things out ourselves. I dont think anything was done incorrectly, but just sloppy compared to what they charge. Some guys were friendly, some seemed oddly aggressive about what they were doing. We certainly arent picky about most things, but when they are 25-30% more than everyone else, expectations change. We went with them for simplicity and some family's preferences, but I'd shop around more next time. Update: After the review they came back and adjusted some things. It was appreciated and install looks neater.

Javier is an excellent electrician. He stayed all day helping set up my nest camera floodlight without getting frustrated. He is very experienced, funny, patient, and his work is very neat. He also cleans up nicely. I requested him again for a reason. I’ll keep requesting him. Thanks Cranney and Javier S.

Javier was friendly, professional and respectful of our property. He was patient and explained basics to me while insuring the safety of our house. It’s a pleasure to have a contractor arrive on time, communicate well, and make me feel like they care. He identified a couple small issues and we will follow his advice and have those changes made soon. Thank you Cranny. Also, the appointment coordinator was fantastic and understanding on the phone. She knew I drove 3 hours to be there and worked to get Javier there in time to get me back to New Hampshire so I could get my granddaughter off the bus on time. 👍
