They're not real great on punctuality. They do a good job. I probably would recommend them.”

We did some additional plumbing work and we did some HVAC work. The HVAC work would be a year or two ago. I'd give them an A. It was very simple.”

“They came over on a weekend to do a clogged drain. In terms of whether or not they took care of the clog in the drain, they did. They arrived on time. It was just a matter of—there was some question about the video recording. I wasn't informed it was an option to have the video recorded, so I had needed it to be recorded. It was difficult to contact them afterward. They were going to come out, and there was some question about whether there was going to be another fee and this and that. The gentleman unclogged the drain. However, the entire circumstance around it—I'm glad the drain was unclogged and everything but I don't think that I would necessarily go with them again. I made some phone calls and they had someone who was able to come out that day. They had a technician who was able to come out that day to help me to unclog the drain because there were others that either didn't work in the area or they did not have a technician who was able to come out that day. I'd probably give them a C.”

I found the company through our home warranty company. They sent them out and since we were so pleased we used them for other things. They came to work on the sewer and gas lines. We used them for the drain cleaning and they fixed the drain. That was fine. They recommended additional work which we put off. If a friend or neighbor asked about the company I would say they were average because I was pretty bothered by the failure to get the right stuff the last time. However, compared to our region they’re about par for the course. I’ve had a hard time finding anything better. They’re average. I’d give them B-.”
“The technician got to my house very late. It was very obvious he was done for the day—didn't want to be there. The whole thing was like a pain in the neck. He did the minimum amount of work and charged me a fortune. I will never go back. There were two things they did for me. One was a stopped up drain and he told me that would take a major effort where they would have to saw holes in the wall. I ultimately got someone else to do that without putting holes in the wall. The other was my shower was dripping. He disconnected the shower and put in a new little cartridge. The whole thing took eight minutes, and it was $300. For a little plastic part. I had hoped they might be different from normal plumbers but my experience is they are no different. If you know any good plumbers, I would sure like to know them because I keep asking my neighbors if they have a plumber who isn't embarrassing. I picked Parrish out of the Best Pick Reports and because I picked them out of your book I thought these guys would be better than normal so I'm not real happy.”

“Parris Services showed up with a very, very impeccable salesman who was very frank and very thorough and with a technical expert named Louise. The intent was to run a gas line down the transom that runs through the middle of my house, from the gas meter on one side to where the generator was going to be put on the other side and then to do some electrical work associated with that generator and the new sub panel. Then they were also going to put in two fireplaces for gas and they were going to replace the sump pump. They came in and said, under the contract, they could do the work with no problems. He tore out chunks of drywall that were five foot by five foot. He said for the fireplaces that they can run the gas line down the side of the fireplace. He came in and told me, “No, you need to tear out the brick on the side of your fireplace.” He then came in and the next day and said, “No, you need to tear out all of the bricks down the whole face of the fireplace.” He had a guy come in with a jackhammer and then tore out the side of the fireplace. He came in for the fireplace upstairs one day and said, “You need to tear out the fake stone on that in this area.” The next day he said, “No we're going to run it on the other side.” Then they cut out one of the support beams for the wall against the fireplace and then drilled three different holes in the fireplace. By that point I told them to just leave it and that I could do it myself, but I paid them full value.”
“A/C water tray overflowed from attic into second floor ceiling. Emergency service call fixated on low coolant level must have frozen the coils. Charged the system, cleaned up and departed. Next day tray overflowed again. Recalled service worker to site this time he fully investigated and determined drain line had not been properly checked during summer season routine maintenance call and it was blocked and that was the reason for the overflow. By chance the back-up valve to port excess water had failed and was not checked until the second emergency call. The second call protocol was followed in detail. Had the seasonal service protocol been complied with on the routine call or had it been done on the first emergency call the home owner angst would have been far less. The service call administrative staff was absolutely professional while I was exploding over the phone. She did not lose her proper demeanor. She behaved with civility and endured what she's not nearly paid enough to suffer through. In retrospect it was she and she alone that salvaged the business for Parrish.”
“Several occasions over several years. Parrish extended our HVAC system and added a thermostat for one. They rerouted our drain line from the AC. They properly installed a new Hvac. Parrish performed professionally and did good work. Workmen knew what they were doing.”

They did exactly what they said. Several people remarked that they did not even notice where the piping was buried because they folded the sod back, trenched, then flipped the sod right over the dug area. It looked seamless.”

“I have plumbing and HVAC maintenance contracts with Parrish. Twice a year they come out to inspect my systems (water/sewer and heating/AC), do some light cleaning/maintenance and notify me if anything looks as though it'll need maintenance or replacement. My experiences with them are mostly positive although I'm always a little curious whether the guys doing the inspections are actually looking as closely as I'd like them to be looking. However when I had my last inspection (I think it was in Jan or Feb) I really got the sense that the technician was trying to sell me something. He told me I had all kinds of problems and that it would take a few thousand dollars to fix them all. I wound up letting him replace the igniter in my furnace after requesting that he show it to me and verifying that it did appear to be worn out. The other work I declined and ultimately performed myself at a low cost for materials. If future technicians are as pushy/hot to sell me stuff as that guy I may cancel my contract with Parrish.”

“Parrish Services moved our sump pump from the side of the house. It was flooding the neighbors, and they were getting upset, and so we had it put out the back of our run along the side of the house. That solved the problem. Now we have a nice, green patch in the back. The rest of my backyard is fried, and this little green patch is beautiful. We told them what we needed, and they came out and fixed it on the first try. They always do great work. I've been with them only about a year and a half. They've fixed a showerhead and air conditioner, and we had a problem with the hot water heater, so they've been out three or four times. The workers are very pleasant and timely, and the cleanup was excellent. Just give them an A.”
