We had some ups and downs through the process but they were willing to work with us on budget and basically, we got the look we were going for so we're happy with the turnout on it. And the worker was very knowledgeable and very good and very clean. I'd give them a B. I already have recommended them.”

“They remodeled a master bath and not a total remodel in the kitchen but cabinets and counter tops so a lot in the kitchen and a total in the master bath. There were a number of things. For one thing, they build themselves as being a top of the line home contracting small business firm and I don't think that their work was that good. I think it was average, very average and I think the prices that they charged were for a lot better job. I don't think the options they gave you, the things you could pick out - I don't think they were the quality that they should've been for the money. Even though I paid a good amount of money for these jobs, I think it could've been done at this quality for a lot cheaper or for the money I paid and it could've been a more quality job. The workers were fantastic, that much I'll say. I was sold one thing in particular, kind of a fancy shower unit with several different sprays and handles and things like that and at the time, I questioned—you know, second floor bathroom—will there be enough water pressure to use this? They tested it and said, “Absolutely no problem.” and then after they got it in, I can't use it. I had them out, they came out and checked, I complained a couple of times and finally they said, 'Well, there's nothing we can do about it.' It cost me over $1000 for the shower unit. I don't use it. So that was one thing I felt like that's an example of kind of being misled. Kind of being presented with one idea and then the end result was different. I'm trying very hard not to badmouth them because they were nice people. I'm just not happy with the work and after I brought it up to them a couple of times, they basically just cut me off and ignored me which doesn't make me happy. In the kitchen, they put a new, newly hired project manager on my kitchen, it was a woman, she basically insisted on these corner units and pull out unit and one of the pull out units, the bottom one, was supposed to open with a pull out shelf so you can get the space and use it. You couldn't pull the shelf out because the dishwasher was in the way so the door wouldn't open all the way. So obviously it wasn't measured properly. It was never brought up to replace the dishwasher. They had to take out the unit, they had to replace the wood surrounding - the wood square that you put in that's on the front before you put the door on. It all had to be replaced and basically, I've got all this dead space I can't get into because there was nothing they could do with it. They really didn't do much to compensate me. They'd deduct a little bit here, a little bit there but none of it was appropriate for the thing. For instance, with that, I was talking with them with the worker like, 'what do you think would make you happy?' Maybe if they went out of their comfort zone to come do things like that I'd be OK. That would've have even questioned that much. So, I would not recommend them to anybody and in fact I haven't recommended them to anyone. People that ask me about it that saw when they were here, I said don't use them. There were some dots and stuff that I brought to their attention that they complained afterward was the way the house was and yet it wasn't brought up beforehand and it was never mentioned after until I noticed it. I'd give them a C. They were very nice in the beginning but after they finished the work and I was bringing up these different things like the paint in the bathroom streaked, they had to repaint the bathroom, it streaked again.”
“Everything was pretty good. They delivered the wrong tile. It wasn't what I picked out and the guy had all my bathroom of course all torn apart and then I went outside and saw the tile all on the ground and I went up to the guy and I went, ‘This isn't what I ordered.’ And he said, ‘It isn't?’ And I said, ‘No not at all.’ He was wonderful, the guy who did the installation. He went down and called the owner and he says, ‘didn't you call and change it?’ I said, ‘absolutely not. I didn't call and change it.’ And I said, ‘he has it all torn apart. I don't want to be several days without a bathroom and they have to order what I ordered.’ So, I said, ‘I will take what you have but I'm not going to pay the exact same price you quoted me.’ So he did come down and price and the guy did install it and it looks nice but I don't know what the mix up was. I guess the positive experience was the installer. I didn't care for the owner at all. I didn't like his attitude. When he came, he was explaining it and it was way too long to go into this that and the other, I didn't need to go through all that. Two people had referred me to this company and they were very satisfied and I know these two people very well so that's why I went with the company but I wasn't really thrilled with him when he came to the house. I didn't care for him. But like I said, the guy that installed was a gentleman, he was an excellent worker. It called for two men to install the bathroom when I called but they only sent one guy out because they were short of help so he had to come back a second day to install it. So, nothing really went right, but the installer was excellent, he did a fantastic job, he worked so hard. Went up and down these steps, I can't tell you how many times and that was a shame because two guys I could see needed to be on the job. Overall, I'd say a C. I would recommend them, definitely.”

“They were very attentive to any problems during the kitchen remodel. At some point, things were off-center, so they came up with really smart solutions to move things to make them on-center. They came out in snow because we had it done in February. They do a good job. It was actually February of 215. I'd give them an A. They could have done some stuff better in the customer service regard. The point man, Ilya, is kind of a hard-nosed, Eastern European guy, so sometimes when you have to talk to him about a concern, or when my wife had to talk to him about a concern, he would dismiss her and want to talk to me. He was a tiny bit rough. I think that's his personality and he wasn't really doing it to be standoff-ish. It was more or less that he wanted to get all the information he could as fast as he could to address the issue, rather than maybe listening to us and listening to some of our concerns and why we have those concerns. In the end, his son was able to be the backstop, so if anything went past Ilya his son definitely caught it and was very good about addressing any problems.”

It was just that I wanted everything done before I made final payments, and even though the thing that still needed to be done was minor, I thought, why should I give them everything remaining if this little job is not completed? They first came out with not the right parts to surround the shower, so then they had to re-order the part and wait for that. I have nothing good to say about Luxury Bath & Kitchen. There's a leak coming out from underneath the platform itself but they said that wasn't on them. I'm done with these people. I was upset. I would probably give them a C. They said they would have it done in a week and it took over a month. They didn't have all the right parts.”

He took the whole floor up, put in the new tub, and put new coverings over the tile we had in there. He painted. He did a great job. It would be probably coming up on a year. They earned an A from me.”
