We just had a fantastic experience doing a complete renovation of our kitchen with KBD. We were looking for a design and build firm where we could get design services, help choosing kitchen features, and a quality build under one roof. We found that and more at KBD. Ron, the owner was wonderful to work with. He gave us a great overview of the design process at KBD, showed us the many options we would have. He made sure we knew that he was available for questions or help. Ron worked at our pace, even when working through our design decisions pushed the construction start date back. As we experienced, Ron has put together a wonderful team. Rick, who designed the layout of our kitchen, listened as we worked through what we were looking for and came up with several creative design options that made our small kitchen seem big with ample storage and lots of counterspace. Olga, the wonderful designer we worked with, helped us turn our vague ideas into a beautiful kitchen. With her artistic talent and expertise, she guided us through the process of choosing every feature in our kitchen. She was very patient with the time it took us to make decisions. We never felt rushed. Thanks to Olga everything goes together beautify. Great materials will only look as good as the quality of the build. KBD excels in this aspect as well. Mark, the project manager made sure everything ran smoothly and saw potential problems before they happen and solved them. Mark came by throughout the build and was always available for questions. Tony and Walter were the talented team that built our kitchen. The quality of their craftsmanship was excellent down to every detail. The demolition, cabinet build, flooring, painting and all of the many other details were done with the highest level of skill resulting in a beautiful kitchen. Mark did an excellent job on our glass tile. At the end of every work day, the whole area was perfectly clean. There are other people from KBD whose work went into giving us the beautiful results we are enjoying in our kitchen but I think this review would run too long to name them all. In summary, everyone we delt with at KBD were nice people and excellent at what they do. Google only lets you give five stars or I would give more.

Kitchen & Bath Depot just finished a major renovation of our kitchen (new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, ventilation and appliances). We can’t be more thrilled. We had used KBD before on a simpler renovation (new master bath shower) and we were delighted with their work, so didn’t hesitate to engage them for this far more elaborate project. Why are these guys such great remodelers? Let me list just a few of the reasons. • Completeness: Except for appliances, KBD displays and sources everything that is required. You aren’t sent around to countless vendors to look at their wares and then be the middleman in negotiating appropriateness, availability, prices, etc. • Design assistance: You are offered as much or as little as you need. But be forewarned, Rich and Olga are likely to be much more familiar with design issues than you – so that when they make their suggestions, you will hit yourself on the side of the head and wonder why you didn’t think of these issues or ideas yourself. • Craftsmanship: With remodeling, everything doesn’t always exactly fit together. Walls are not perfectly plumb, corners not perfectly square, ceiling heights may be wavy and floors are not perfectly flat. Thus, craftsmanship is required to neatly mount cabinets and appliances to that they look seamless. KBD installers (who are direct employees, not subcontractors) all made the extra effort to ensure that everything (even stuff that we would never would have noticed) was done right and looked perfect. Thanks, Tony, Walter, Mark, Raphael and Steve. • Predictability: You are told what work and workers are coming next; everyone arrives on time; and other than for weekends (and two snow days) work is done every day. Our full kitchen remodel was completed in just four weeks – slightly faster than initially estimated. • Neatness: Drop clothes and dust shields were laid/affixed every day. And no day ended without a through clean-up of the job site. • Price: As noted by other commenters, KBD’s prices, while not discount rates, are very fair for the extent and quality of work being done – and below some quotes that we received from other remodeling firms. Further, you are not nickel-and-dimed for extra costs from minor changes or challenges. • Peace of mind: Remodeling can be stressful. You worry that things will not be done right, that you are paying too much, or the final product will just not look good. Hire KBD and you can put those worries aside. The job will be done better than you will have imagined, it will look beautiful, and you will be happy to have made the decision to contract with KBD.

I would highly recommend Kitchen & Bath Depot. We had their team redo our master bathroom recently. We especially enjoyed working with Shannon on the design of the renovated space and the selection of materials. She was sensitive to our budget but also had a great eye for what would look good and meet our expectations for aesthetics and function. The construction team worked diligently and got the project done in a timely manner with a minimum of disruption. I appreciated everyone's teamwork and organization.

Mark Mueller, our project manager, runs a tight ship. He said KBD would finish our 2-floor renovation (including the kitchen) in 6-7 weeks, and they were done in 6, which was extremely impressive! We even added several extra small jobs to the overall project, and Mark and his team were VERY accommodating. Jessica, our designer, taught us a ton about lighting, paint, quartz, and cabinets. We were total rookies, and she patiently answered LOTS of questions. Jessica also helped us zero in on a gorgeous cabinet color--halcyon green--which looks absolutely fabulous! Thanks to Jessica's awesome design, friends who visit describe our new kitchen as "unrecognizable" because it looks SO much better than what we had. When we needed follow-up assistance with our microwave exhaust system and a new toilet, KBD was very responsive. We had some minor snags with our electrical upgrades and Pepco's long-awaited inspection, which happened several months after the renovation was complete (not KBD's fault!), as well as some miscommunication about a quartz slab, but most of these problems were resolved. KBD's prices are not cheap, and if you want a thorough, itemized breakdown of exactly what you're paying for, you won't get one, so that was frustrating, but overall, we think the quality of KBD's work is top-notch, and their craftsmanship and efficiency are truly remarkable. We really appreciate all their efforts and LOVE our new kitchen, guest bath, and hardwood floors!

We had a great experience with Kitchen & Bath depot remodeling our primary bath. Shannon was great to work with designing the space; very helpful, but she also listened to my ideas. The men who implemented the design were also a pleasure. They were careful, hard working, and very neat as well.
