"My problem was never resolved. Not only that more problems were created. My problem was with my bedroom and 2 bathrooms ( no lights on upper level). He had no idea how to fix the problem so he took apart outlets on first floor. He then caused a problem with my first floor living room, hallway , outside and bathroom light . The more senior electrician came the next day , fixed nothing. But shorted out power to my laudry room light. He told me that he would return to fix the problem the next day at a cost of 845.00/ per hour. In addition to the 1675.00 that I paid for basically nothing. I cancelled his dispatch the next morning but he came out anyway and claimed he was never informed of the cancelation. I hired another electrician that fixed my original problem plus problems created by your company in 2 1/2 hours. I have a detail receipt of what he found and repaired!"

"They were so kind because the time that they came in, they told us about the plans and what they offer. They also gave us specific prices and the pros and cons so we agreed with the plan and before that they went around the area to search and see how the electricity works in here. That was very helpful and gave me more information and understanding about the electricity in here. The next day they came hours before we expected them to come, and they were just sitting in the parking lot waiting. When it was time, the two men came to start the service, and we allowed them in, and they did the job. Once they finished, they came to report everything and walked around with me to see the job they did. I also like their payment options, and we did pay with a check which was requested before the work and the rest of the amount is scheduled for a payment through credit card, so it was wonderful."

"I am member of the $25 per month My Plumber club, and was called that a employee Mr. Ali Nasrahti was on his way to my house to check my furnace. When he arrived he ask me any problems ? I answer, yes my humidifier doesn't work. He had one in has truck. I asked the what the cost. He showed me around $3000. O.K. I signed his computer device. He removed the old device, then started to install the a similar new one - that took hours including a long time to used my bathroom - I thought maybe to read the directions. When installed he started to add things like an Air Treatment System, and then used a spray can for about five minutes to clean where the most of wirers are located in furnace. When finish I asked for the instuctions for the humdifier - he gave me the "How to Install" , nothing how to set controls ! He never did check the furnace. At the end when leaving he gave a extra filter for the humidifier. When I ask to total cost - He said about $ 5.000. I was very surprised - for what he did,I would not had it done if I known. The total bill was $ 5,793.00 - almost twice the estimated cost. I have used My Plumber several times in the past, but now will hope to be very carefull in the future. Disappointed Ernest J Rose"

"The service rep. Ian did a good job on most of the required work; however, one of the most important repairs was clearing the kitchen sink drain. Not able to resolve this "important repair," he suggested I purchase his recommended drain cleaner, "Bio Clean," which, if I remember correctly, was about $150. Instructions said use at evening for 5 days! I used it for 7 days with absolutely no improvement. (Before buying this Bio Clean, I explained that "all" other drains in the house were draining correctly, so if it was only my kitchen sink, then why not clear the kitchen drain with a snake?? I was told they didn't carry snakes??? (I thought all plumbers used snakes??" With that said, I still have the same original main problem I called for, and yes Ian did repair and install other needed appliances and hardware, but at an outrageous cost of either $1428, or $1583', not mentioning the Bio Clean that did absolutely nothing!."

"The initial technician was not experienced enough and made a mess of things. As a result, water went all over my bathroom floor. After WE cleaned up the mess, it was clear he did not know how to resolve the issue. I asked him to leave and to come back the next day with a senior technician. The next day the original technician and a senior technician arrived. After an hour or two, my plumping issue was resolved. However the baseboards in my bathroom are now warped due to the first technician."

"I called about a sewage smell and gurgling toilet. He said he could change the wax ring. For ~$650. He did not attempt to diagnose or provide any advice or options. Do you want me to pull it or no? I agreed. He replaced the ring but it did not solve the smell or the gurgling noise. I later figured it was a dry trap in the shower drain causing both issues. He did a good job replacing the wax ring but even he admitted it was normal. Waste of $$"

"Both Noah & Sergio did an excellent job. They were both very professional in explaning what they needed to do & how much time they needed to do it. Noah had a very difficult job to do installing new tub/shower water delivery control system. Noah was supposed to have 4 hours to do his work but the bldg. engineer's wasted almost 1 hr opening up the hall wall. There was a 2 by 4 blocking the top of the area he needed to work & a wall that he had to work around. He completed the work & he was able to install new 3/4 emergency water disconnect system before the water needed to be turned back on. Sergio did tile replacement around the shower valve. He did a wonderful job no one would be able to tell the difference between his tile replacement & the tile that was installed 25 year's ago. Both gentlemen know what they are doing."

I wasn't paying them to do that. Their work was sloppy and they had to come back for another visit, to do correctly what they didn't do on the first visit, wasting their time and mine. "We met with the "comfort advisor" Hooman Khazei on Wednesday, September 17 to discuss a new HVAC system. This was upon the advice of the repairman Walter Pfaff who reviewed with us the age of our system and possible need for replacement. In meeting with Mr. Khazei, he informed us that Trane was not a system that MPP installs and services but that Carrier was an equivalent system. We discussed the Carrier System and agreed to consider a replacement with Carrier which was the unit that was aging out. In discussing a price he insisted that to get the price we asked for, it would need to be installed within 24-48 hours. Reluctantly, we agreed to the Carrier system without having the benefit to "sleep on it" and research the qualities by an independent source. The workmen came the next day, September 18, for installation and proceeded to install the new HVAC system. Four hours into their job I saw the name of the system as "Bryant", not Carrier. I asked for clarification from the installers and they stated that Bryant is made by Carrier and is essentially the same thing.In looking further at the contract that I signed, Carrier is not named nor was any other manufacturer. I then asked the installers to have MPP call me to clarify. I called MPP as well and left a message that I wanted to speak with someone (I was never given a name for the supervisor who approved the contract) before the work day was finished. I did not receive a call that day or any day since. Today is five days post installation. My reseach tells me that Bryant is not comparable to Carrier and I feel like were we given "bait and switch" pressure to approve an installation that was inferior to the unit being replaced."

"Consistently, I find that MyPlumber's folks come in, and they're busier trying to sell me something than facing the fact that I have spent tens of thousands already with MyPlumber - and my wallet can't take a lot more. For example, the HVAC guy, a really nice fellow, told me that the upstairs furnace should have a "hard link" between the gas line and the furnace. That's true per Virginia updated standards as of 2023. HOWEVER, the unit was installed in 2019 and at that time, the "flex hose" was up-to-standard AT THAT TIME and, because no damage or flaw had been noted in his inspection of that flex hose, there was no REQUIREMENT to replace it - it had been grandfathered. I initially agreed to have it replaced at some $700+, only to have a friend who is also in the business come by and look - and he pointed out the grandfathering. There was a similar issue with the downstairs unit, in that the motor was noisy and likely needed replacement - but because the overall unit was still under warranty until January 15, 2026, the motor should have been replaced - yes, I would have to pay for labor, but NOT for the new unit. Again, I was being sold something I shouldn't have had to pay for. It is this drive to sell - as I suspect the inspectors are paid a commission on all sales, but I don't know that for a fact - that drives me nuts."

He was more of a salesperson than a plumber. The problem still was not fixed the first time, so they had me come back again. He told me to snake the drain; it would cost $355, but for anything else it would be an additional cost. I would never use them again."

After 20 minutes he found the problem and wanted to replace many boiler parts for $2500+. I decided to get another opinion (and subsequently had two different companies quote a fraction of this) but still owed $355 for 20 minutes of looking around. Don't waste your money and go elsewhere from the start."

"This company had a totally unsatisfactory customer experience with me. It did not provide the service on the agreed upon date. This date was arranged one week ahead. The heat wave that we were experiencing at the time made this error unbearable. To make things worse, I was called and told the plumber could not come. I did not schedule a plumber. I scheduled an air conditioning tech. The person I spoke with apologized and verified my correct appointment. No one showed up. I called the next morning and said they would be reported to the better business bureau if they did not come. This was after calling and being assured that I would receive a call immediately Two hours later- no call. I called again with the same assurance- no call. Again no call, after two hours. I then, with the previously mentioned BBB call, and low and behold, a tech arrived at the end of the work day. I failed to mention that they said I never had an appointment and kept referring me as Reggie! Needless to say, this was the worse customer experience I ever had. I must say, the tech did a great job. He should not be affiliated in any way with My Plumber Plus."
