“They did a good job. I haven't had any leaks, and we've had a lot of rain, so they did a good job. It was foundation repair and waterproofing. The foundation was inside my basement. My basement wall was leaking, so it was the foundation of the wall, the poured wall. They did two rooms for me really, and I haven't had any issues with it. I'd give them an A+—they did a good job. The waterproofing wasn't bad; they did a good job because they did it on time, and they cleaned up behind themselves.”

“The system that they put in didn't work. After the large rain last weekend, we still had significant problems in the basement. We actually closed and sold that house. They promised to come out and get it fixed, but unfortunately I'm no longer involved in the situation. They were very kind and courteous, and they came out to check the issue right away, but unfortunately the system didn't work. I'd give them a B overall. There was more than a slight issue. The customer service was good.”

“It was real good. They were just doing what they were supposed to do. They were on time and did what they said they'd do. It was excellent work. It was waterproofing on the inside wall. I'd give them an A+. They did really super good work. They cleaned up good and did what they were supposed to do, and they were out of there in reasonable time. I'd recommend them.”

“Everything was delivered on time, as promised, and for a very reasonable price. It was for a residential property; it was waterproofing work. They were great. I wasn't actually here for it. The performance was great, and it was obviously very efficient. I'd give them As' all-across the board. I'd be very willing to recommend them if somebody asked.”

“I think it was a tough job, and the guys worked really hard. They did a good job of explaining things to me before they quoted me anything. They gave me some cheaper options to try before hiring them to do the big drain. They did waterproofing work, installed the drain and the footing. It's looking good now. They get an A+.”

“I contracted for waterproofing of a finished basement. ESOG was friendly, prompt and clean in their work. I scored them lower on quality because they had to come back out to rework a corner that the crew installed improperly. They did respond immediately to my concern. I scored them lower on expertise due to variation in guidance/information regarding the vapor barrier installation. The initial consultant stated a vapor barrier couldn't be penetrated by nail or screw. I elected to not have the vapor barrier added because the planned finishing method required affixing studs to the block wall. The project manager who responded to review the corner complaint stated that the vapor barrier could be penetrated if using a specific screw type. Had I known this from the beginning I would have had the barrier installed initially. To ESOGs credit they did install the barrier at no additional cost, but I think the finished product would have been better if the work was done on the initial install.”

“Engineered Solutions of Georgia did a fine job on my basement. The two gentlemen were on time and were prompt, very courteous, knowledgeable, and worked extremely hard, even giving me good advice on other items of concern in my basement. (For example, they shared a good way to monitor the sump pump I already had in my basement with some PVC and a water alarm.) The drain they installed seems to work great. I also appreciate how well they patched up the concrete that they had to cut into as part of the job. I would definitely recommend them.”

“I was not told until service date that my crawlspace requires an electrical outlet. I'm temporarily using an extension cord and it is an inconvenience to have to plug in cord every time it rains. Would I even have to crawl in the crawl space with an outlet to turn on every time it rains? If so, I never would have had this done. For the price that I paid, I expected more efficiency. In addition, the worker indicated that plastic used in the back of the crawl space was already mines & wasn't replaced. I really don't what what's in the back of the crawl space because I only crawled to where the sump pump was installed & it looked like duct tape was used to hold it up. I need someone else to come out to verify everything was done properly.”

“I  was very impressed with the knowledge and expertise of Engineered Solutions of Georgia. They explained in laymen's terms what had to be done. They did not try to sell me anything I did not need. I could not believe how clean they left my basement. I went in the basement with my vacuum after they were done and swept up very little dust. Quite impressive!”

Some of the other companies did not make their scheduled appointment and insisted on both my husband and I had to be present for the bid. Engineered Solutions bid was the most reasonable for the scope of the job. Additionally I was impressed with the crew they sent to do the work. “Their bid structure was complete. They're honest, they came on time, they did the work as scheduled, and they did a good job. The job took a couple of days—a day and a half, maybe. I'll use them again if I have a similar issue. They did a good job.”

“They did basement waterproofing. They did what they said they'd do, and they were courteous and polite. When I had a few little problems, I called them back, and they came and took care of it. They started on Monday, and they finished on Thursday. I narrowed it down to Engineered Solutions and another company, and Engineered Solutions knew what they were talking about. I know something about building and construction, and I could tell they weren't trying to deceive me. Today, the basement's staying dry. They did a good job, and they did what they said—that's the main thing.”

Review by
06/12/2015

“The guy was pretty personable. They come out when they say they're going to do it, and they do good work. They put some sort of jack under the house to stop the settling. I didn't shop it. I got one of those county books that are sent out listing recommended contractors for different services, so they were in there with favorable review. Initially, the job took less than a week. It took maybe three working days. They had to let the cement dry before they could do whatever else they had to do. The job still looks perfect today. They were very helpful. We were getting ready to sell the house and needed some documents, and she had them made immediately.”

Review by
06/12/2015

“I have used Engineered Solutions twice. Chris Grubb, their engineer, examined the foundations, crawl space, attic, and interior of the house itself to assess the stability of this old structure. He provided a detailed report on what should be done to remedy the lack of support in the foundation and ceilings. Engineered Solutions carried out this work—the first time, they sank two adjustable steel piers and did additional footings under the front part of the house. The second time, they poured new concrete footings for the back part of the house. During their first project, they also installed a new sump pump. It was positive in these ways: the availability of an engineer to provide an expert opinion on the problem and solutions; the carrying out of the work plan outlined by the engineer by an Engineered Solutions team in a professional, thorough and competent way; and the follow up from staff—someone came out in the middle of the night to adjust the sump pump after the installation. Above all, I liked the fact that Engineered Solutions’ work solved the problems. Everyone—from those installing to the office staff were courteous, prompt, gave complete information, came on time, and cleaned up wonderfully.”

Review by

“I thought that they focused on educating me as a consumer. I've never had to use a service like that before—they didn't just do the work, they told me why they were doing the work, and I feel more educated and empowered as a homeowner because of that. I liked that the owner of the company came out when workers were present to make sure that I was happy and that they had what they needed in order to be successful in the time frame allocated. I liked the connectivity of the ownership of the company to what was happening out in the field. That was my first time using them, and I'd absolutely use them again. The job took almost two days. My only other comment would be that they were not the lowest-cost provider out there, nor the highest-cost provider. They were on the higher end of things, and I feel that they worked hard to make me feel OK paying a premium for their work.”

“They shored up a falling concrete retaining wall at my home. My contact, Allen, was a definite positive. But the crew sent to my home was inexperienced and messy. While they were very polite, I did not have confidence in them or that the work would be done correctly. It almost seemed as if the company forgot to schedule my job and just sent whoever they had sitting around at the last minute.”

Review by

“They were really competent and professional. We had worked with other engineers before working with ES of GAE that were not competent, so it was refreshing to work with them. It took one visit to identify the problem, and it took two days to put the structural supports in. Everything was great. They were really great on the customer service end. They were really responsive and answered a lot of questions as they did the work. It was really great from start to finish. I would highly recommend them.”

“I used Engineered Solutions of Georgia. I think he was sincere and knowledgeable. He wrote a proposal for me, and I sent it to the engineer. I hired the engineer to diagnose my problem, and he recommended Engineered Solutions—they finished the job. The sales person was very impressive. He came back and took a look at it, and he said, 'I'm going to ask the crew to come back to do additional work,' and they did. I would recommend them. They really do whatever they say. So far, I'm very satisfied. It's very impressive. I think they had a good attitude. They're an A.”

“They really got the job done. The guys were just very easy to work with. The guy that came out initially to talk with me was very easy to work with. Then there was a slight problem. They had not moved a drain on the outside, and had not put that right underneath a gutter, so I called them about that. They came right out and did it and put out gravel. The only negative is I have not received any sort of guarantee neither by email or in snail mail from them. I'm a little bit concerned about that, but that's the only negative. I would give them a B, maybe a B+. I'm a former teacher so I grade high.”

Review by
09/09/2014

“It was generally positive. I'm still having issues, but I don't think it's because of any of the work that they did. The reason I called them was because I had a leak in a storage room in my garage and they put in a French drain. it still leaks so they came back and beefed up the French drain. We thought that was solved, but now every once and while it still leaks. I've been calling and they said next time it floods, give us a call and of course it hasn't flooded since then. My real estate agent had recommended them. I think I would give them a B. I would've given them an A except that I still think it has that weird little leak. Some day when it rains again, we'll figure out where it is.”

Review by
09/09/2014

“I liked that they didn't try to give me a cookie cutter solution. They really took a look at what my problems were, and then they compared that to the budget I found acceptable. We figured out a way that we could work within the budget to create a kind of tailored solution. Some of the other companies I'd run across basically said, ‘Here's our system—take it or leave it.’ I thought Engineered Solutions was very useful. That's why I decided to go with them, and so far, it's worked out every way I expected it would. We had some water coming in through a crawl space, so we needed to figure out a way to intercept that water and make sure it didn't come into the house. There was one issue with the construction of something, but when I pointed it out, they promptly came back out to fix it. Overall, I'd say they earned an A.”

Review by

“The work is good but it wasn't what I was promised and after asking them three, four times for a receipt, I still to this day don't have one. So I don't even have a receipt for my work that I had done and I had about oh six thousand dollars worth of stuff done. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. I was promised it would be ready for sheetrock, I explained to the person that came out that I would be sheet rocking it myself and he was like when we're done, all you're going to have to do it nail the sheetrock up. When they left, there's still basically like a hole to the outside and the side of my house that was never actually finished and sealed up and it's not ready to be sheet rocked at all. When I called back and asked them about it, he's like oh well when you get it sheet rocked, they frame it out for you, it comes with sheetrock. So my basement is still not finished because now I have to find somebody to frame the basement which was supposed to be framed and I have to find somebody to finish up that hole that was left. I would never use them again.”

“Their estimator was professional and nice. It wasn't a great experience because I was spending a couple grand, but it was necessary. The technician cleaned up after himself. He was nice and explained everything he was doing. I don't really have anything bad to say about it. We reached out to a couple of companies, but I think they were the only ones who gave us an estimate for the job. We were really trying to get it done quickly. I would give them an A.”

I called to talk to them about what they might do. It was a couple people, and they were very quick—they were in and out. They needed to do some adjustments, but they came out when I said I needed some adjustments done. They took care of it without a problem. They were an A. There was no problem at all.”

“Parts of it were great. As far as the work they did was great. They had some subcontractors, essentially they put new walls in our basement for us. So we had to pier up our house and put new walls in. That was great, they did an amazing job. But as part of that process, they had to move some of our hot water heater and our air conditioner. The subcontractors they used for that were terrible. The plumber had to come back six times. The structural engineering they did, the putting the walls in, all that was great. I give them a B.”

“There was nothing at all that I disliked. They were timely and effective. Everything went great. I found them through my son. He’d had some work done by them. The employees were wonderful. The people were great, and the experience was great. Everything turned out the way it should. I'd give them an A rating.”

“I was pleased with the work they did. I had about five people look at the foundation, and I just sort of liked their story and what they were doing. They reinforced the foundation with steel girders, filled the cinderblock with grout, and put it inside the French drain with the sump pump. I'd give them an A because I was pleased.”

“They had a very good presentation prior to the services that were rendered. It was just very clear and the pricing was maybe not the cheapest, but competitive. They had a diagram of specifically the work they were going to do and it was clearly communicated. I chose them because of a referral from a structural engineer. I'd give them an A.”

“They were awesome. They did a really good job. They get tens across the board. I was very pleased with the company; they were very good, from the people to the equipment and the follow-up calls. They did everything really well, especially the guy who came out to give me the estimate—he really did a good job. I was pleased. Engineered Solutions earned an A.”

“No problems. They did an adequate job. There was a little water in the basement. They were priced right and they seemed to know what they were doing. Their system is similar to others and others were a lot more pricey. So I took a chance, went with them and I'm pleased. I'd give them an A.”

“Todd Hall was the gentleman we worked with, and he did a very good job. He was very detail-oriented, and he followed through with the job. I was very happy with the company. They did good work. There was a slight issue, but I called the office, and everything was great. I’ll just give them an A.”
