“I had water damage. They came, ripped out all the carpet, put machines in there to make sure I didn't have mold or mildew, and checked all that because I had a water leak for two or three days, I guess. My renters were out of town and so it was at my rental property. They basically ripped all that out, and then I dealt with the insurance company at that point. I really couldn't say what I particularly liked; they did a good job for me, and they were fine. The guys were all respectful and nice, and I was only there part of the time. Like I said, my renters were there more than anything, of course, because that was on my old house that I used to own, and that I used to live in. I'd give them an A. I got to the point where I wasn't sure if everything was done the first time, and they actually sent somebody back out for me too, when they didn't need to. This was because, in the bathroom where the leak started, it smelled a little mildewed and so I talked to them. They sent somebody back out and went through an extra effort to do that for me, and there was actually no issue whatsoever. Even when I got out there, I was going, ah, it ain't that bad.”

“We had a flood. They came the very next day and started on the drying out process. I certainly appreciated that. They were very professional. They checked in every couple of days, checking on the progress of it, and moved fans around, the dehumidifiers. They just did a great job. I'd give them an A.”

“They actually came out. I had a flood. My water tank busted and it flooded the inside of the house, so they had to come in and set up a dehumidifier, and all that stuff. They worked with me pretty good on the times they could come out, get the equipment, and set it up. They were very personable also. I had a good experience. “ServiceMaster got the work done, and they were very sweet people, but they drove me crazy. They would come in and work an hour, and then leave; I never knew when they were coming, and what they were going to do, but they did get the work done. My service even took place in October, and it didn't get finished until December. They were doing water damage restoration. I'd probably give them a B. They got the job done; it's just that I felt like they weren't very business-like. They were there on time, they were there when we called them, as far as showing up for the first time. They didn't leave my place a mess at all. Probably unlikely that I'd recommend them.”

“I believe what they did was dehumidify—remove water out of the basement. They kept me informed of what they were doing, and when they were going to be there, and were able to answer questions whenever I asked them. I'd give them a B. I really don't know on the punctuality, because I wasn't there at the time. I guess one thing they could've done—and I'm not sure they could've done it—there was a bookcase that had items in it that if I'd known, I could've cleared it. I mean, if they said something about clearing it, I could've cleared it because they cut the carpet out from in front of it, and didn't remove that section of carpet.”

“ServiceMaster worked hard. They were thorough. They did the mold remediation, they did water damage, they did a little bit of carpet, well, just a small section. I'd give them a B-. They could have improved on the cleaning, ensuring that items in the home were not dirty. They had to cut up my hardwood —I don't know how to explain that but—so they were chipping it up, they got a bunch of junk in the air, and they didn't close off my air conditioning so the glue, my hardwood floors that were glued to the floor, got in the air.”

“They did a good job and they did what they said they were going to do. I didn't have any problems with them. They removed all the floors and drywall, and left equipment to dry it. I had a plumbing issue that flooded the whole first floor of my house. They dried everything up, they cleaned the rug, got it ready for the new flooring to be put in, and for the drywall to be replaced. I was satisfied with the service provided; I'd give them an A. If somebody had this kind of problem, I'd recommend them.”

“I mean, they were quick, and came by every time I was concerned. They did water damage restoration. Everything is up to expectations now. I'd would say C. I probably would recommend them. They get started kind of late in the day when I needed to go to work. I had to sit and wait on them to get there about 10 o'clock. It wasn't really a poor service, there was just a gut feeling that bothered me, and I probably wouldn't use them again. I wasn't sure how honest he was being with me, and that might just be me. That, and I needed to be at work earlier than 11 o'clock.”

“It was a mostly positive experience working with ServiceMaster. I had water damage. I expected more, it wasn't that they didn't do more, but it wasn't explained that it took longer than I thought it was going to take. It was a while ago, and I'm an old man. It seemed when I first talked to them, it was going to be done in a day or so, and they had to come back several times. It took over a week. It didn't go the way I thought it would. I'll give them a B. The people were really nice. The technicians that came were really good, and they seemed to know what they were doing. They had to come a lot more times than I thought they should have.”

“It was a horrible experience. I had water damage. The kids were young, didn't know what they were doing, came in and ripped stuff out of the walls and out of the ceiling, damaged our tile. They were just very careless, didn't clean up after themselves—a lot of havoc left behind. It just took one visit and we said, 'No, this is not going to work for us.' Punctuality was another issue. I would not recommend them at all.”

We had a water break in our house and it flooded two floors of our home. They cleaned up the water and dried everything out and dismantled what needed to be dismantled. “What they did, they punched a hole in the wall and it had to be repaired and a few other things. When they punched a hole in the wall and the wall has to be repaired, then you have to paint the whole system. Everything was good. They did a good job as far as bringing the equipment in, drying the floor out and they took up the floor where it needed to be dried and they checked it out and they came in and did the test. Then they cleaned up and left. It was just a few things they didn't do and they didn't tell anybody that they had punched a hole in the wall. If they would have notified me right away then I would have been alright, but they didn't I had to see it on my own. I think they're good, I think I would use them again. But knowing what I know now, I would say, If you're doing anything that's different, let me know. I'd give them a B rating.”

“The workers I would give an A+ to. The company was really short on communication. I'm going to be nice and say average, but the delays were terrible. That's my only grief. The workers were great, cordial and perfect. They went on other jobs instead of coming and doing our job, so I was left to dehydrate over several days when they could have really come and solved that. They were pulled off the job for a more important job. I wasn't as important. You never want the client to feel like they aren't important. You want good service, you make the client feel good and you'll rise above all of the others.”

“They were pleasant, they got the job done, and they were just generally polite—what more could you want from somebody that comes into your house to do work? We had a leak in the attic. It was a humidifier to an HVAC unit; it leaked for a long time, and it damaged three levels of our house. They had to come in and rip out sheetrock and flooring, move furniture, and put dryers and dehumidifiers up to get the dampness out of the house. They were here for about a week. “It was somewhat unpleasant. They're terrible with keeping schedules and letting us know if they were running late, going to be there early or even if they were going to be there at all. There was a lack of communication. They decided without our permission to drive their truck on our grass to make it easier for them to load and unload their equipment and it damaged our stuff. We had water damage and they were bringing in whatever those machines are called to get the moisture out - dryers and fans and all that kind of stuff. It would probably be a D.”
