Natural wood blinds add inviting warmth to the look of most rooms, and they are a top choice for interior designers due to their durability and the ease with which they can be fit into most any design plan.
For areas of the home with high moisture, such as bathrooms and kitchens, faux-wood blinds are preferred. They retain the same grain as natural wood and are more resistant to warping and mildew; however, faux-wood blinds do not come in as wide an array of colors as natural wood.
Custom blinds can be fitted with numerous optional features. Motorized blinds have become a very popular feature in recent years, along with UV and anti-static control. Two-inch slats are the most preferred size for blinds, though thinner one-inch slats are often used for French doors and on smaller windows.
