“We had the work done in two stages. The first stage was four windows; we had not determined a time that we were going to commit to the rest of the project. Before the work was even done on the first stage, Power called us to schedule a "quality assurance" follow-up. Someone from Power came by at the scheduled time (right as the first stage was being completed), took a quick look at the work that had been done, and then immediately sat down to try to sell us on finishing the project. During that QA follow-up, we did end up committing to the second stage of the project. After the second stage of the project was finished, we never heard from anyone about a "quality assurance" follow-up for the second stage. The fact that the QA follow-up was only offered on the incomplete project, leveraged as quality assurance, and not performed on the completed project reveals it to be just another door-to-door sales pitch. This feels incredibly disingenuous. Although we got a quality product at a price that we were persuaded was fair, if this is how Power does business, we can't help but feel like we got taken for a bit of a ride.”

“Power HRG did what they were paid to do eventually, but it required customer oversight to make sure they were getting the things done that they needed to get done. They fell short of my expectations with project management. The actual installers, Earthlink, are subcontractors, and they did a great job. I signed up on the 24th, and they said they would get back to me, but I had to call in to see what was going on. They said we can get you scheduled in October, which was within two weeks. My impression was they didn't get it scheduled until I called in, as nothing was showing up, and within an hour they showed up with scheduling. The salesperson in September said Project Pulse was amazing, and they were only preparing to install the schedule when I called in because Pulse was not giving me anything. After Power HRG's installation was done, they tripped over themselves on permits and said it would only take two to three weeks, but it took just under two months to get the permits approved. After the permit was approved and everything was turned on, and after that was completed, they were supposed to send me the monitoring platform, which was supposed to be within a day of getting the paperwork, which never happened. I had to call in three days later to have them manually send it to me. At any point in the transition from one point to another, they dropped the ball, and I had to call to give it to the next person in line, but that is just my impression. They met or exceeded my expectations with the installer, Earthling Solar, who they contract with, and they were very good. Their estimate for the solar quotes prior to signing seemed to be accurate, and they were not overselling. Nothing they ever said was really wrong. They have never given me false information to my knowledge. In the end, what I paid for is what I got, but because of the delays in getting the permit approval and because the federal government discontinued the solar credit this year, we came close to losing those solar credits. The fact that the solar credit is going away was not the fault of Power HRG, but getting the permit was nail-bitingly stressful, but they did get it done, so I can't complain about any stress. If they had gotten the permits later, the total price would have gone up 50%. They promised it would be done in a month or two, and it took them almost three months. The installation portion was done in a timely manner, but the permitting process was way, way delayed. For the quality of the product installed and the workmanship, I have only had two days of it running to base it off of.”
