"Price estimate before the work was less than final price. This was a small amount (+$100) on a small job so I am not concerned on this work. But, a 17% surprise increase on a larger job would be concerning. The work started on time, was done quickly and so far fixed the leak (1 light rain since fix). It is good to have a 1 yr warranty on the fix."

"We had the privilege of being the first customer to get a class 4 roof installed by Echols Roofing and Renovations. The crew that did the work performed this job as if this was nothing new. They set up, tore off the old roof, installed the new roof, and removed all the debris easily in one day. The roof looks great, and because it is a class 4 roof it offers three distinct advantages that a typical architectural roof cannot. First, peace of mind because this roofing material can withstand hail up to two inches in diameter. Second, our insurance company offers a discount on our homeowner's policy each year because the roof can withstand up to two inch hail. Third, and this is a bonus we did not expect, the house is noticeably quieter inside. This type of single has an ability to reduce outside noise because it is thicker and is made with SBS modified asphalt. We are thrilled with the look, the reduction of homeowners insurance cost year after year, and the unexpected outside noise reduction. We recommend this roof type and Echols Roofing and Renovations without reservation."

"The Echols team, especially Billy Dodd, provided an impressive experience. I had several roof leaks after heavy rain in January and reached out to the company as it was highly recommended by my neighbor. The company replaced her roof about 20 years ago, and she hired them again to do the job 20 years later - that itself spoke very loud to me. The company scheduled Billy to come out to my property for diagnostic and quote. Billy came out as scheduled and thoroughly inspected the situation by going into the attic and above the roof. Given that my roof was about 10 years old, he recommended that we replace some shingles that had more wear and tear than others, as well as flashings around the plumbing vent and chimney that were incorrectly installed previously. One of the leaks around the Chimney area, so it was likely that it was a matter of time for the other flashings. He also agreed to remove old HVAC vent and cover the area. His quote seemed fair. And having seen his team working and how quickly Billy acted on follow-up requests after the initial repair job, even now I do think his quote was fair. His crew came out a week later and diligently got all work done and checked for any nail pops. It took about 4-5 hours. I had a couple more leaks after the repair (not the same ones), and Billy came out and fixed them with no questions asked, and they were covered under their warranty (3 months for repair work and 12 months for replacement). All in all, my experience has been more than pleasant, and I am calling them back when my roof is due for a replacement."
