“First of all, the lady that was scheduling was absolutely amazing. She understood that our situation was critical, and even though she couldn't promise to send somebody soon, she did call back. She said, 'I can shift things around and have the guy come over the very minute he shows up for work.' He really did show up instantaneously, and he completely understood everything within seconds, which, from our experience, is very difficult. We are not American, so we do not speak technical language. He was absolutely brilliant, and he was a great listener. We felt comfortable. We were having severe problems, and he clearly explained what our options were, gave us an estimate very quickly, and had a variety of prices for every option he could provide. He really made a good impression on us before he even started. It was a phenomenal approach. I don't remember how many options there were, but I think he had three or four on how to approach the problem, and he explained what the consequences would be with whatever option we went with. We were opening our eyes and looking at him, like, 'Is he for real?' We have never ever had such a wonderful experience with any service provider in any kind of area. He explained, gave us everything in writing, and told us how much everything costs with tax, without tax—he was very clear so we knew, and then he told us what he was going to do. He showed us the pipes and said they were a variety of another kind of pipe. He explained that it was turned, and then he brought whatever equipment he needed back here, plugged the machine, turned the water on, and it was perfect. He cleaned up after himself and left. This was really, really amazing. If there was a scale from 1 to 100, I'd be willing to give him 100. Everyone has had an emergency, and there's nothing more important. I'm not trying to say that she went overboard and cut somebody else from their emergency. She simply shifted them around as she explained to me because I didn't want to feel bad for somebody else. There were two people who were great listeners who were really trying to go the extra mile but stay exactly within their policies and procedures; they understood the situation. It was totally, absolutely amazing. They were absolutely remarkable people. The one that took the call, followed up, and scheduled the first time told me somebody can come around one and I was like, 'OK,' and then the guy came at eight in the morning. She just understood that we were really facing a big problem and did this extra, the whole nine yards. Everything had fallen apart, and we didn't have water for two days. They were absolutely knowledgeable, they were good listeners, and they did the job cleanly and beautifully. We're absolutely thrilled with it.”

“I liked the fact that I got to choose the service with some degree of reliability. I liked that a lot. The people have been very professional. I've had an electrician here who has just been wonderful. He has been coming back a lot. A painter just left who's a meticulous, wonderful guy. I'm very happy with them. I had a plumber here too, and he was very reasonable. He was in and out. You don't feel like you're getting ripped off. The electrician who has been out here is very professional. The estimates were very clear. The work was quick. What I liked about him was that he explained what he was doing, so I understood what he was doing and why he was doing it. More importantly, he gave me ideas about additional projects. I would give them an A+ all the way. I thought he was great. Ed was fantastic. He'll be back with a lot of other projects that we'll do. Hopefully, other people will be as good. As far as the electrical service is concerned, it's been fantastic.”

“We really liked the project manager we had on that project. I think his name was Larry. He did good work, and everything was done pretty much on time. It was a full bathroom remodel demo including putting in all the permits, handling the permits, and then installing everything as well. The customer service was good. I chose them because we needed it done really quickly. They were capable of doing everything under one company very quickly, so we chose them for the timing and quality.”

“I liked the man's attitude and way the he worked to begin with. He's done a great job. I was very well satisfied. Originally, he'd taken out the toilet and the flange was broken, so he had to replace the flange on the toilet. I would give them an excellent grade.”

“They're very quick. I put in a claim because I had a broken water line in the front of my yard. I was advised that somebody would call within twenty-four hours, and they called within one. They were out the same day, and they worked pretty much all Thursday. Then they had two guys come out on Friday and do a lot of digging. They stayed late and just got the job done, and they restored my water very quickly. There was a lot of work to do too. Customer service was very great. They communicated, gave me a heads-up, and told me what to expect. They communicated with me afterward to make sure I was happy with the work that was done and to see if I had any questions. It was great. I put a claim in with my water company insurance, and they were the ones that contacted me as far as the contractor that was selected, which I was very happy about. I would give McHale's the highest grade—A+.”

There was a bracket that was broken on the toilet inside the plumbing portion and the bowl itself. The bracket that holds that onto the floor was not on properly. They found an extra problem that I didn't even know I had, and they took care of that too. They had to order the parts to make it stop running. I have an insurance policy on my plumbing, and they set me up with McHale's. I would give them an A.”

The previous owners had done something to the framework of the system—the shelving and countertop deal or whatever—so they couldn't get the dishwasher out. The guy was very intuitive. He could've just said, 'Look, I'm just the plumber,' but he used his experience to remove the old one, put the new one in, and everything came out perfectly. He didn't really have to do that. He went above and beyond. I'd just heard they did good work, so that's why I chose them.”
