I knew Strand Bros. had a separate plumbing division, so I called the maintenance group to get info, as I was having trouble getting a hold of a plumber over the holidays. Rather than giving me another number to call, they handled the transfer and dispatched a plumber, who was at the house within hours. That gentleman was fantastic. He identified the problem quickly, communicated every step he would take, went to the hardware store to find the parts he needed and had the plumbing fixed that same day.”

“I was impacted by an ice storm, and I called them on Tuesday, the 16th, and set up an appointment so someone would be here Saturday after the storm. I called them to verify it, and they said they were supposed to be here. No one showed up. Literally about an hour or two afterward, my tankless started spewing out water. I called and they said somebody would be there today (that was Saturday). We turned off the water. The main had zero water in the house. Nobody showed up Sunday. I called every single day. Nobody showed up and we got no calls,. On Wednesday I got a call and they said they were coming. Before that, the final person I talked to on Tuesday I had begged them to come. The woman was rude, said they would get there when they get there, that they were inundated with calls. On Wednesday I was told somebody would be here. They came, and the technician took one look and said my tankless had to be replaced. I said okay and asked how much it would be. He gave me a quote for $3,750. At that time I said to please go ahead. He said he could be there the next day. I had no water. I was desperate. In the meantime, I sent texts to a bunch of other plumbing companies. Another company got in touch with me, and I told them what was going on. They gave me options. The proposal Strand gave me had one sentence, replacement for $3,750. I called Strand and asked what it was for, which tankless, and how much the system was. The woman on the phone was extremely rude. She said it's a great price for the tankless, that they don't share that information because they are a flat-rate company. I compared it with what the other company told me they would put it in for. which was $2,200 (installed). I called the technician from Strand, and they were going to charge me an extra $1,500 more just in labor. I went with the other company and cancelled Strand. I understand they are trying to make some money, but what you did was lose one customer. I had them come in and actually do maintenance and cleaning on my tankless in May, which is why I called them in the first place. It was all about the money. They lost me as a customer. Not only will I never do business with Strand, I have told other people who cancelled their appointments with Strand.”
