“We were concerned that there was something wrong with the system because house humidity was so high. The associate sent to us patiently explained that the system was so efficient, the A/C was not running all that much to keep the house cool. However, if it didn't run, it would not be removing moisture from the air. While nothing really needed to be done, the associate also showed me how I could reduce the fan speed if I wanted the A/C to be working more.”

“This visit was a check of the A/C system. I had enrolled in a yearly protection package covering a heating check at the start of winter and an A/C check at the start of summer. Only annoyance was that this was a particularly hot June and we had the system running quite a bit before this appointment. There was a blockage on a pipe that caused some water leaking in the ceiling walls (this furnace is in the attic). The technician was prompt, polite, wore shoe protection, & diagnosed and fixed the pipe issue easy with a small charge. The A/C system checkup was great and they had records of previous checkups dating back 5 years to when they installed one of the 2 systems in the house. As I had just purchased this house it was great to get that type of background/legacy information.”

“I called Shavitz to check my A/C unit; it hadn't been checked in a very long time. Shawn went up on the roof to check it and took pictures; it was quite a sight! We think it may have been the original unit 51 year old unit from when my condo building was built. It was even housing numerous beehives! My furnace, I think, was also original. Obviously, I needed a new A/C and furnace. Ryan was the salesperson who helped me decide what was best for me and it was scheduled for the next week. Mike and Mario (and some more folks who brought the equipment) arrived at 8:00 am. Mike and Mario worked steadily until almost 7:00 pm. No break for lunch. It must have been over 100 degrees on the roof and over 85 in the house, but they didn't stop until they were done without complaining. In fact they had a great sense of humor and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Today Cornelius came to make sure everything would be operational for winter. He showed me everything I needed to know and was so polite. I just want to congratulate Shavitz on their staff; not only is everyone knowledgeable and professional, they are so personable. That includes the ladies in the office. Linda, Jennifer, and everyone whose name I didn't get. I feel like I am in very good hands!”

“They've come out a couple times to work on my heating and cooling units. I'd say that they're pretty responsive, able to come out in a reasonable amount of time. They have a biannual maintenance program that I like, where they come out once in the spring and once in the fall, where they'll do just a regular upkeep. I like that versus having to think about it myself, call, and schedule someone to come out twice a year. They are also good at explaining what the costs are for what they're doing and providing alternatives. If they have work to do, they'll itemize the estimate and tell you what each thing costs and let you decide if you want to have them do everything or only some of the things, and they'll give you guidance as to how you could potentially do it yourself for a different cost. When I bought my house, I noticed that they had worked on the house before—their logo was on the HVAC equipment—so I figured they would be familiar with the systems, and that's the main reason that I chose them.”
