“It was hard to communicate with the crew because they spoke little English. I was told by the estimator that they were experienced in moving furniture, but they certainly were not. Was also told that they would repair small imperfections in the floor, but that didn't happen. Lastly, when they put the sealer coat on top, they put it right over any dust or lint on the floor and now it's sealed in.”

“I think the job was done generally well, but it is definitely by volume. No attention to details, quick job, took half a day to refinish and stain 3 rooms and there was a lack of communication once the job was finished. Nobody called to check our satisfaction.”
“The work was generally very good and a year later the floors have held up although the surface feels rough in places. My problem with the company was that communications were poor and they blamed me for my dissatisfaction. It was not easy to drop off the key so they could do the work when I was away and then when the crew showed up they didn’t have the key. I talked to them through my Ring and they had to wait for someone to go get it. Also they didn’t bring samples to show what the finish would be and didn’t explain that they would put the furniture back without the rugs because the floors needed to breathe. I would have gladly paid to have the crew come back and put the rugs and furniture back when the floors were dry instead of returning from vacation and having the rugs rolled up in the kitchen. Finally I asked that the pad under the living room rug be discarded because it was disintegrating but it was rolled up with the rug instead and made a big mess.”

“Overall, the work was good. However there were areas that needed to be redone. I was not asked to check the work before the workers left for the day. It was very difficult to get a hold of someone after the work had been performed. I was basically told that it was something I had done (which it was not). Owner was sort of confrontational and argumentative.”

“At the start the supervisor took three bare wires from the floor sander cord and jammed them into the dryer receptacle. The connection was not good and the receptacle overheated scorching the inside of the receptacle box and discoloring the wall above the box. To repair, the receptacle and cover had to be replaced and the wall above the receptacle repainted. There were several significant marks on the trim in the house where the sander cord was dragged around corners. These all needed repainting. The flooring work itself was good but they ran out of quarter round shoe molding and used cove molding in a couple of places without saying anything. This was discovered after they left. This was relayed to Evan White. Evan stated that they would fix it. Unfortunately we had to wait until the spring when we returned from traveling. He stated that would be no problem. On our return last spring three emails were sent to Evan with no reply. The townhouse was sold in June with the mixed shoe molding. Unsatisfactory.”

“marketing of and implementation of installing wood floors matched nicely. Good professional crew performed well in the midst of rhe pandemic. Follow up on work performed was minimal and performed without problems. The floors are elegant and are often commented on by visitors. I was advised to use Impressions wood cleaner but have found that it leaves a sticky feeling on the floor. So not using this anymore.”

“Overall, I am very pleased with this project. However, I recommend that you do not complete payment until at least a week after the job is completed. Please inspect your floors thoroughly to see if there are problems. I found a few spots about a week after the job was completed and they would not take responsibility for the problem. I paid immediately after the job was completed so I didn’t have any leverage to get the problem fixed.”
