“If I have one complaint it would be that it took significantly longer than estimated. I know electrical work can be tough, but I had to take a whole day off from work, in addition to the half day I had already planned for. And they didn't do a great job cleaning up the pool area. There was all kinds of copper wire, and all kinds of stuff I had to clean up. Other than that, they did a good job as far as the actual installation. They did some installation. He came in and took care of the outlet that controlled the outside lighting, etc. He went up in the attic, checked the circuit breakers, and analyzed everything, and he took care of everything that same day. The only problem I had is that after he was here, I had a handy man come and put in a—one of the things he had to do for me was to install a fan, and when I went to turn the light switch on, it not only turned the fan on, but the light went on as well. When this guy was here from Mister Sparky, he told me that I would have to spend an extra $250 to install something over where the light switch plate is, so I wouldn't have to pull a cord. I declined. And when the handyman came, he said ‘That's ridiculous, you don't need to do that.’ So, other than that, the guy was very, very nice. I liked him. They are working, but I do have to pull a cord. Other than that, things are great. I would grade the overall experience with a C+.”

I think he could have done better with the work, and again the price was way too high. So, I would not call Sparky again. I would call someone else. Expertise—again, it was a part that broke, and actually he should have replaced it. Actually, it wasn't broken when he got there, but when he did the work, it broke, and maybe he should have replaced it.”
“I had a problem with the electric in my house. I let Mister Sparky come out and take a peek to see what was going on. They came out. They charged about four times as much for what I was quoted for, just doing the inspection and seeing what was going on. Their quote for doing the repairs was about four times more expensive than what it actually cost me to do, when I went to find somebody else to do it. And they did not give me copies of the quotes that I had requested, and that I felt like I had paid for when I paid them for coming out to look at what was going on and see what it would take to get things fixed. I would grade the overall experience with a D. I got no resolution, but didn't feel like pushing it. I got my stuff taken care of by somebody else, and had a good quality job done.”
“They had done some work for me at my own condo, and this is work that they at my sister's condo. It worked for about an hour and it stopped working again. So, I would have to say that I was not pleased with his resolution, which was he used a piece of paper to try to level out the two connections for tract lighting. So, it stops at one point, it goes around, and then there's a connector, and he put a thick piece of paper in to try to level it out. I was very happy with what was done at my old place when he put in a new circuit breaker box—very pleased, but with the tract lighting, I was not pleased. I would grade the overall experience with a D. For what we paid. He just didn't do that. He did some other work. Expertise—a piece of paper is not a repair. It's a work-around. The actual work was not satisfactory. The person was very kind, he was nice, he was punctual, but it did not change the overcome of the money we paid for something that still does not work”
“At the time, I had somebody living in the place, and I didn't really have any first-hand knowledge of it, and they are not available at this time. I really couldn't give you an honest report—other than the fact that I thought the price was a little high. If my memory is correct, they went through and checked every outlet in the place, which I thought wasn't necessary. All I wanted a new outlet for a fan in a room, and whatever it was, it proceeded to take all day and the price was rather exorbitant, in my opinion. I would grade the overall experience with a D—mediocre job. If I needed anything done, they would probably be the last one that I would call.”

He came out because we didn't have power, and it turned out that the main breaker was mushy, and it needed to be thrown really hard, and so he did that. He changed a little switch for us, and the bill was $500. I would grade the overall experience with a D.”
