“MPP seems to be a sales operation. Discovery of a slight defect prompts a proposal for complete replacement or an expensive repair. On their initial service call (before I signed a one year contract) the tech, after a cursory inspection, suggested a replacement of the 13 year old furnace. Just recently again MPP found that I would soon need a new heat exchanger because of signs of "stress points" on the exchanger. (Job ID 254847971). The tech shut down our heating system saying it was too dangerous to leave running. His verbal comments left the clear impression that the heat exchanger had failed or was a carbon monoxide danger. Our carbon monoxide detectors in the next room and elsewhere in the home had not sounded. In the written proposal, tech proposed for $2,764 changing out all components of the heating system supporting the heat exchanger. When the heat exchanger fails, he proposed installing a new heat exchanger for $2,540. OR I could just buy a new furnace. He offered to set up a meeting with the sales team. Suspicious of the recommendation, I paid to have two other companies come out and look at the heat exchanger. Neither thought the heat exchanger showed clear signs of deterioration, said if there were any leaks, they were not obvious from a "look into the burners" inspection. They independently said they only way to really determine whether it was cracked and leaking was to pull out the unit and inspect which would cost $300-400. My heat was turned back on. In the end , I didn't want to take any chances, the furnace was 13 years old and one highly reputable company said they would install a brand name 90,000 BTU single stage unit for $3,400. So I decided to go with that. I didn't ask MPP for a quote because I don't trust the company to give me an accurate diagnosis or competitive pricing. A basic credibility gap. I want to get out of my one year MPP contract which runs until May 2023. I can't believe I am paying $25 a month to enable MPP to give me a sales pitch.”

Customer Service Reps who answer phone (apparently no matter which number you call, including numbers on statements, from AR, etc) are polite and professional. The internal system for contacting someone who actually has answers is beyond frustrating.”
