“They kept me in the loop along the way and explained what my problem would have been. I switched from regular switches to a dimmer. They explained and talked me through the process. They showed me where the wiring was correct in the junction box.”
“I have recommended North Suburban Electric to friends and they have been pleased as I have with the work performed!”
“I liked everything, specifically the response. Dan was very kind. I had this weird issue and I had talked to him about it over the phone. He had recommended a couple of things I could try and do in the interim to try and fix it or at least work around it. Then he definitely made time to come and see me because it was a weird issue and we needed it fixed ASAP. He was very, very kind at finding the time to come out and he got things fixed within a couple of hours. I would give them an A overall. The workmanship and all of that was perfect, but the cost was not so awesome. Electricians are never cheap. That's my only complaint. The cost is a little higher than I expected. I'd give them an A+ overall.”
“They were awesome. They just identified the problem. We had a light that wouldn't work even when you changed light bulbs. I had somebody else out to try to fix it and they couldn't fix it and he came out and was able to fix it. Excellent work with no complaints.”
“North Suburban Electric is first-rate. They're responsive, they did what they said they would do, and they just did the job well. They did some wiring and the replacing of a pan. They get an A grade overall.”

“I would use a 10 rating if I could.”
“North Suburban Electric met or exceeded my expectations in regards to all of the work that they have done for me.”
“I have recommended North Suburban Electric to friends and they have been pleased as I have with the work performed!”
“I would like to recognize Dan for his exceptional service. He does a good job.”
“They were there on time. They did the work and they did it in the amount of money that they estimated in the contract. They installed some lighting. I'd give them an A.”
“They did some work for me in Skokie, and they're scheduled to do some other work for me. They're pretty prompt, clean, professional. They're just a good company. They added some circuits for me to connect to the switches. It was inside of the home. This will be my second time using them, but I've known the owner for a couple of years. I would give them an A overall.”
“He was able to get here quickly, was on time and did good work. I needed some new lights on the outside of the house put. They hooked up a new exhaust fan in the attic and fixed another whole house fan that wasn't working. It took them a couple of days. They came one day and did something, then they came back the next day and finished up. I would give them an A+. As far as I know, they seem like experts.”
“They were asked to do some work. They did the work and they went. They did a replacement. I didn't know how to do that. He put in a switch. I would give them a B overall. Their customer service was good. They were on time just like they said.”
“They were very prompt in sending someone else. He looked at a light fixture that was not working and rewired it. Overall, I would give them an A. They definitely seemed like they knew what they were doing. I don't know if it was right or not, but it seemed right.”
“They were quick. They got it done and no issues. They did a panel install. Overall, I'd give them an A.”
“They knew what they were doing. They did the ceiling lights. I'd give them an A.”
“I liked everything, specifically the response. Dan was very kind. I had this weird issue and I had talked to him about it over the phone. “I liked the sole proprietor, Dan Kesslerang. He was very prompt and he's very straightforward in what he tells you he's going to do and gets it done and has always done it correctly. He's done a variety of things—fixtures that broke, attached the ceiling fixtures over time. He's probably been to our house half a dozen times over the last eighteen months. I'd give them an A+.”
“I like that I dealt directly with the owner. They installed ceiling fans. I'd give them an A+ overall.”
“I thought they were very nice. They couldn't fix my problem at the time, but it turned out to be the fan that we had, not them. I was disappointed that it wasn't fixed, but it wasn't their fault. They came to fix the fan. They attempted to fix it, but it was fried. We found that out. I would give them a B overall. Their cleanliness was perfect.”
“The technicians could have come out to the house on the earlier side. I think he told me like 10:00 and he didn't get there until 10:40, 10:50. He told me 'Well, I gave you a range between 10 and 11:00.' Well, he was on the later side. Then because he got there later. He didn't have enough time to do a couple of the other projects that we wanted and because of that he has to come out again, which we still have to schedule that. So, I would have loved to have everything done all at once, but because he got there later we couldn't do all the projects we wanted done. One was an outdoor outlet and then we wanted some ceiling fans replaced and he didn't have enough time to do that. I'd give them a B-.”
“Just the way things were handled, it's just a feeling. I had some outlets moved, lights installed, a fan installed. I would say overall it's OK. The thing with the fan I'm not real pleased with but everything works. I'm assuming everything is safe, just a little different than what I'm used to. I'd give them a B.”
“He's a very nice guy. He gets the job done. His rate is reasonable. I'm very happy with him and his work. I'd give them an A+ overall. I'd definitely recommend them.”
“It wasn't a big job. They just pulled a couple of wires. It was a very small job. I'd give the experience an A. They didn't leave a mess behind.”
“They helped me to run electricity on my deck, so I wanted to get back in touch with them because they did do a great job. I only remember the guy's name, but I called several different companies, and I just can't remember the one that actually came and did the work. I'll just give them a B. The work was fine.”
“He did the work we asked for. I wanted cash only. That was bothersome. I'd go with the company again had I had to duplicate the matter. I believe it was electrical work, some outlets that were not working in my home. Overall I'd give them a B-. They don't let you pay in cash.”
“They helped put in a ceiling light in an old house, and then they did an electrical outlet repair. They were easy to work with, clean, and efficient; and they got in and got out. I'd give them A+.”
“We had breaker issues, so he redid some rewiring for a breaker. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he gave us different options. I would say he was definitely an A.”
“They basically did something that had to do with internet wiring that my husband wanted in this house. There was already some phone wiring, so they basically changed some outlets, and they checked on it, and it's all working. I liked basically that he stuck to his quote, and he did the work he was supposed to do, and that he was professional. It was fine. I guess I'd give them an A. It seems like there was one time, I think, when he was giving us the estimate that he happened to be late, but he called and told us and it was fine.”
“It was a small job. They installed some timers. I mean it was a really small job, so he came on time, and he left on time. I can't really say too much. It took like an hour.”
“They were fast, efficient, and were pretty straightforward. They investigated an electrical problem I had. I'd give them an A.”
“I don't know what I liked about them. I really wasn't that involved in it. Their technician installed a house surge protector. I'd give them an A.”
“We had several things I was interested in having done, and they counseled me on what we should do, about things that might cost way more than I wanted, and they came up with other options that actually, in the end, worked better than my initial thoughts. They were incredibly helpful and truthful. I was not just pleased, but kind of astonished. I've had other experiences where that didn't quite go so well. They rerouted some lighting, put in a new lighting conduit, and repaired a lighting setup in a room where it wasn't quite working right. I'd give them an A+.”
“Not to go into too much detail, but I guess the amount of time that it took and the value, what was done versus the cost. There were some outdoor electrical outlets that had to be looked at. I would say a B.”
“They had a fair price on the deal I purchased from them, and the gentleman who came out was very nice. They put in a surge protector onto my electrical box. I'd give them a B+.”
“He quoted me a rate and said that he could do the job for $12, which was right in mind with somebody else that was going to do it, and when he went in there to do the work, he didn't do the work, because I knew they had to take out a plate and do some other work based off of a quote that I had gotten from someone else. In other words, he misrepresented himself and he misrepresented the work, didn't do the work, and I had to have somebody else come in and do his work, fix what he didn't do. Part of the work would have to be to remove a back plate that was connected to my house. I knew that from the quote from the other electrician. He stated that he could go in from the inside of my home and not do it from the outside at all and when he went to try to do that, he couldn't do it and then in other words, the mounting plate that was supposed to be attached to my home was never attached to my home. I had to call a carpenter out to come and attach it to my home. I'd give them a D. The work he did was fine but he didn't do the work as required.”
“They looked at my electrical panel, because it would sometimes emit like a buzz or a hum. They checked it out, but it's actually been working fine. I could have replaced the circuit, but it would have been like $6. It's not malfunctioning currently, and I didn't want to incur the additional cost at this point, so I just wanted to make sure that nothing was wrong with it, hearing that sound occasionally, but they said it does happen sometimes. It was an A.”
“There was a broken switch, and I had a consult on our kitchen lighting. They were able to fix everything. We didn't end up doing the kitchen lighting work, but I got good information from them. I'd give them an A.”
“It was a good experience, but it wasn't for me. It was for the owner of the condo. They put in some GFCI outlets. Everything went well. I'd give them A+. They came in, they were very quick, they did the job, and then they left.”
“I believe they were doing two things. One was upgrading our electric in the basement and one was putting in a chandelier. I had those, you know, Chicago homes, which has, the electric is, I think there's a gas line, stuff going through it, I don't know. It was some kind of unique thing that's a little bit unique to Chicago, how they hook up their electricity and the guy wasn't able to come up with a solution for putting in the chandelier correctly. We paid him whatever, then when I went up to the chandelier shop, they knew right away what I needed and how to correct it accurately. So that was disappointing. The basement work went well. I'd give them a C. I'm not going to recommend them.”
“They replaced some vent switches, some four way and three way and five way switches. They did a great job, they were just expensive. I think all of the electricians were expensive. The switches still work, everything still works, everything's good. I thought they were good. I thought the guys were nice, very respectful, worked quickly and all of that, diligent, showed up on time, I think that the guys seemed very professional. Again, I just thought they were pricey. I'd give them an A.”
“They put in a couple of dimmers and they put in a new outlet in the garage for a refrigerator. I thought it was fine, I thought it was a little expensive but other than that it was good. Yeah, everything was good with the billing side. The installers were good. I think I got the company from Home Advisors. I'd give them an A.”
“I got the name from Best Pick Reports. We had a fire to our main circuit in our condo. It was in the room, the utility room. So he had to do new wiring and new circuits to fix that. It was very good. It was not that expensive, it was just the circuit box itself. I don't think it was a substantial amount of what needed to be done, but it was done very well professionally. I'd give them an A+ definitely. It was perfect service.”
“Basically, they did a consultation. An evaluation of my electrical box and then also replacing a GFI outlet. I thought it's a good company. I feel like they might be a little more on the higher end, but maybe you get what you pay for. My only thing would be is that I would suspect that they're on the little higher end for the pricing part of it. The scheduling was good. I think I got their name from Best Pick. I'd give them an A+.”
“North Suburban Electric is first-rate. They're responsive, they did what they said they would do, and they just did the job well. They did some wiring and the replacing of a pan. They get an A grade overall.”
“They did what they said they were going to do. They did a number of different electrical items in the house. I found out about them through a friend. I'd give them an A rating.”
“They were very easy to work with, they did the work, and it was a positive experience. We had just moved into this house. The alarms you have in the ceiling, the fire detectors, kept going off, and they were hardwired. The company gave us our options, and they did more than what we needed them to do because we just wanted to get them done. They replaced them all and used the carbon monoxide one with the smoke detectors. I'd give them an A rating.”
“They were professional and had fast service. They replaced a main circuit breaker. I would give North Suburban Electric an A for quality of work.”
“I had a couple of things that were a little bit out of the ordinary, and they were very knowledgeable with what I needed. They were fast, too. They put a motion sensing light switch in the garage so the light will turn on automatically. They're an A-grade company.”
“The electrician was approachable and very clear on the cost and everything. They're very transparent. He had to do some electrical work on an 18-foot ceiling, and they had to rewire the box up top. I found North Suburban Electric through a referral from a contractor that I knew—a friend of a friend. I'd give them an A. They were great.”
“It was a misunderstanding, whatever was quoted. We had an electrical box that was supposed to be removed, but it wasn't. For the most part, I was happy. They put the electrical panel in. I'd give them a B.”
“They were very prompt once they did come over, and they completed the job in a timely fashion. I'd give them an A.”
“There was a quick response time and pretty direct, quick service. They changed out our back electrical outlet. Some relatives had also used them, so that's how we found out about them. They're an A-grade company.”
“They did an electrical installation. It was done properly and in a timely fashion. The company gets an A from me.”
“They placed sixteen can lights in my house. They were on time and professional, and they completed the job within the time that they promised. I heard about the company through a neighbor. North Suburban Electric gets an A grade from me.”
“They put in a new circuit breaker. It worked. They were very professional, and it was a positive experience. I would give them an A rating.”
“They took down an existing chandelier in our entryway and put up our new chandelier. They were timely, and they seemed to know what they were doing. It seemed pretty painless from my side. They earned an A.”
