“They were awesome. They just identified the problem. We had a light that wouldn't work even when you changed light bulbs. I had somebody else out to try to fix it and they couldn't fix it and he came out and was able to fix it. Excellent work with no complaints.”

“I liked the sole proprietor, Dan Kesslerang. He was very prompt and he's very straightforward in what he tells you he's going to do and gets it done and has always done it correctly. He's done a variety of things—fixtures that broke, attached the ceiling fixtures over time. He's probably been to our house half a dozen times over the last eighteen months. I'd give them an A+.”

“I like that I dealt directly with the owner. They installed ceiling fans. I'd give them an A+ overall.”

“He was able to get here quickly, was on time and did good work. I needed some new lights on the outside of the house put. They hooked up a new exhaust fan in the attic and fixed another whole house fan that wasn't working. It took them a couple of days. They came one day and did something, then they came back the next day and finished up. I would give them an A+. As far as I know, they seem like experts.”

“They were very prompt in sending someone else. He looked at a light fixture that was not working and rewired it. Overall, I would give them an A. They definitely seemed like they knew what they were doing. I don't know if it was right or not, but it seemed right.”

“It wasn't a big job. They just pulled a couple of wires. It was a very small job. I'd give the experience an A. They didn't leave a mess behind.”

“They did some work for me in Skokie, and they're scheduled to do some other work for me. They're pretty prompt, clean, professional. They're just a good company. They added some circuits for me to connect to the switches. It was inside of the home. This will be my second time using them, but I've known the owner for a couple of years. I would give them an A overall.”

There was already some phone wiring, so they basically changed some outlets, and they checked on it, and it's all working. I liked basically that he stuck to his quote, and he did the work he was supposed to do, and that he was professional. It was fine. I guess I'd give them an A. It seems like there was one time, I think, when he was giving us the estimate that he happened to be late, but he called and told us and it was fine.”

“It was a small job. They installed some timers. I mean it was a really small job, so he came on time, and he left on time. I can't really say too much. It took like an hour.”

“We had some faulty wiring that we found by mistake. We were very frightened, so we called North Suburban Electric and found out it was a major hazard. It was absolutely a positive experience. We'd had them here in the past, so we just called them back when we need help because we trust them. They do an excellent job. I've had them come out a couple times; I'd say my relationship with them goes back at least ten years. We haven't had to call them back out to fix anything. There is no question that they deserve an A+ grade.”

“He rewired a fuse box in the basement for the third floor apartment; he put in a whole new unit. He also fixed my garage door opener that had somehow been disconnected from the electrical wiring. They were prompt and efficient, they told me what had to be done, and they did it. I've had them here a couple times, and I am gearing up to call them again because I have a problem with one of my major fuses. This is a very old building, so we need some help. I set up an appointment, they came out and did it, and it was completed fine. I haven't had any problems since, so I guess I'd give them an A.”

“They installed a new service panel. The old one was a 16-amp fuse box, and we had to go up in power; we chose to go to a 100-amp service panel. I chose North Suburban Electric because they were local. The workers were competent. They did everything to code, and they did it quickly. They get an A, but the instructions about payment could have been clarified. Generally, people think a check is considered cash because it's not credit, but there was a distinction between cash, check, and greenbacks. When we went to cut a check, they were like, 'Oh, no, we need hard, green currency.' It was just a minor thing, but had it been communicated more clearly, they would have gotten an A+.”

“We couldn't get some lights to come on, and it turned out we had a very strange wiring setup in the house. I had to push one of the little red buttons on the breaker switch, and then the lights worked. Anyway, it took them a while to figure that out, so I'd probably give them an A-.”

“The last thing he did for me was something minor—he installed a motion light outside. I would say that I had a positive experience. He was prompt, and he did a good job. I think we've used him several times in the past. They should get an A, or I wouldn't have called them back.”

“They installed smoke detectors because all the smoke detectors in each room were different, and we just wanted them to all be the same and consistent. We had a problem, but they came back immediately and took care of it—no questions, no qualms, and no problems. They solved the problem happily with no complaints, and we were really impressed with that. They're absolutely a responsive company; they're easy to get ahold of. We've used them over the past ten years, so we chose them because we'd had good experiences with them in the past. They get an A.”

“I was very happy with North Suburban. They're very quick to respond when you call, and I was able to set up an appointment quickly. They came on time, and they fixed the problem. They fixed a light switch. Some sort of trip mechanism didn't work, so that had to be repaired; when you flipped the switch, the light did not go on. They also fixed a doorbell for me and did a bunch of wiring. They put an outdoor light on my garage, too, and a bunch of stuff like that. I'd give them an A+.”
