It's not a sump pump but it's sort of like a sump pump and they had to replace the motor to it. That was the first time. The second time was for the kitchen. I would give them an A overall. The first one was perfect and I called and asked for him back, but he wasn't available. The second guy, he was good but he wasn't as personable. The first guy was personable and all that stuff. “We had water running out of the street. Our polybutylene piping, after thirty years, busted. We turned off the water, and they came the next day. They worked until it was completed. When they finished, it lasted about three months and all of a sudden the county water and sewer people showed up and said we had a leak. They started digging the meter, and they found out that it was where that connection they used a compression ring to seal the pipe to the meter. That failed and I had to have somebody else come in and dig it out and fix it properly. So, it cost me extra money because they really didn't do the job, technically, confidently. Overall, I would give them a C. They connected it to the meter the easiest way they could. They just threw a little compression on it and expected it to hold and it didn't. When the next guy came back, he dug it up and he used plastic pipe with glue and it'll never leak. I guess that would take a whole lot longer. They used these compression rings to make the job faster. That's what they did and they cost me extra money. When my water busted and it was running out of my walk-in crawlspace, it was running out at a rapid pace. I probably had maybe six inches of water at one time in the crawl space. When I shut it off, it kind of dried out. When they came, they were doing the work under the house. I noticed after they left that the water heater was not working. I asked them to come back the next day and light the water heater. They said they wouldn't do that unless they were compensated. I had to get my handyman to come there and it took him five minutes to do it. That's what customer service is all about. They were on time, and there weren't any problems with their cleanliness. They fixed it, but their fix broke down after three months. It was more like, 'I'm not coming back to your house, screw you. Unless you want to pay me, I'm going to charge you $150.' 'You did the work and you should have made sure that the gas water heater was running, because the place was flooded with water and it snuffed it out.' So that should've been something he thought of and done it, but he was snotty about it. So that's what I was more pissed off about. I would not recommend that company for that type of job.”
“They were just determined to find a leak in my front yard and never found it, and I felt like ‘why am I spending 2,500 bucks with you if we don't have a leak?’ 'Well, sir you're going to have a leak.' And I go, ‘yeah why don't I fix it then?’ They were just, they opened up the wall of my basement; there's no evidence of any leaking anywhere and I just became very distrustful of them at that point. I ended up bringing in another company. So, after digging up my yard, had all the yard dug up, of course I had them come out with this equipment so they can detect leaks without digging up the yard. They tell you, 'oh yeah, we definitely have a leak right here.' There was no leak. My buyer comes by, I was selling the house, sees it and the man that wanted the place, and they wanted $1,800 to replace it and I got another company that could come in and did it for $1,200. They were nice enough, but it seemed obvious to me that they get paid on commission, and they spent a lot of time out at the house. I understand why they would want to make more money but...I'd give them a C- overall. The whole issue is around that interaction. That is what was disturbing, and then they found something else that needed to be done. I ended up spending some money with them, and I don't even know if I really needed to; I did according to them. There was going to be a plumbing issue. My gut sense is there was going to be a plumbing issue; that was already decided before anybody arrived. And that was upsetting. The work they did was fine. Did they really need to do it? I don't know. I won't recommend them. I've moved. I'm on the other side of the world at this point. I'll give you this. I had several people know about the plumbing issues and everything, and they came back and they had some plumbing stuff and they asked would I recommend them. And I said I liked the guy that came over. It's not that, it's not personal like that. It was just the whole process. I told them ‘no,’ they were working hard to get $1,800 out of me and then they probably lost $5,400. I know 10000 people, not all in Atlanta but.”

They did my duct cleaning as well. They're always on time, they come in the time that they say they will, and they always call me when they are on their way. They always resolve the issue. “R.S. Andrews did some plumbing work for me, but I was sort of confused when they did it. The thing I was wondering about was that I asked the technician why was he taking the parts out of the box, and why he was putting the kit together where he was; I didn't understand that. I would like to understand—I would ask him why he was taking the stuff out of the box and putting it together in the back of his truck. And he got offended when I was asking him that. And then he said, ‘Well if you don't want me to do it, then I'll go.’ And I said, ‘Well I just want to make sure I'm getting the right parts, and that the price that you charge me ain't going to be different.’ And he got offended when I would ask him like that, and he said, ‘Well I could show you the price list of it. A lot of people been complaining about the prices when they get the deal and stuff.’ I said, ‘I just want to make sure.’ But again, he said, ‘Here go the prices right here.’ And I said, ‘Well, OK.’ He said I needed a whole new inside flush drain. It was a negative experience, but he finished the job. I noticed when I flushed, though, that the handle is not right. And I said ‘Well I don't know what's going on.’ But I never did call back. I know I just took a picture of the paper, of the invoice that he gave me. The only thing I know is that my toilet seat don't work like it did at first. So I'm going to leave it like that. The only thing I know is that the whole thing is over with.”

They did some work on the water pressure as well as the drainage that was flooding our backyard, and they changed the way the water was directed out of the home. Their customer service was great; they called to let me know when the technician was on his way, and it was good. I’ve been working with them since we moved into the house five years ago, and every time, they’ve been excellent with their customer service as well as their follow-up.”
“I think that they were honest and showed up on time. The guy knew what he was doing. I think I had a leak behind my wall that was coming from the guest bathroom upstairs. He replaced the seal around the drain and that was it. I may have chosen them by looking at this Gwinnett thing that they send out each year that says what’s the top 3, 4 or 5 companies in each particular subject that you are looking for. I'd give them an A.”
“I have used R.S. Andrews for many years, and they have always been here promptly and done a good job. I have had them for plumbing, air conditioning, and heating, and I have never had any complaint about any of their work. I have used them for quite a few years; they’ve replaced the A/C, furnace, and part of the sewer, and I have had other normal, miscellaneous things that you have when you own a home. They do everything well, so I am still using them. I had seen them at a neighbor's house, and I wasn't happy with whoever I had used the previous time that I had a problem. So I called them, and I have continued to use them. I have used them for a long time, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I recommend them highly and would give them a grade of A+.”
“We use R.S. Andrews for heating and air. They're very customer friendly. They were nice and explained what they did before they do it. They explained how to put it in if the same thing happened afterward. They replaced a couple of parts on my HVAC system. They have unclogged my drainage system of my A/C unit when it clogged up and leaked. I've used those guys several times. I would give R.S. Andrews an 'A+' grade.”
