“I have a 12-year-old Whirpool range that was purchased by the previous owner from Ikea. The owner came out and said that he couldn't fix it since it was from Ikea and all the parts would need to be special ordered. As it turns out, the blown circuit board has been discontinued and a new range has to be purchased. I was looking at a Jenn-Air gas range, but the reviews on-line were mixed. I called and left a message asking if Darr had any comments on Jenn-Air ranges. But I have not received a call-back on this after at least 3 weeks. Nor have I received a call back from the Ikea-approved repair man. Nor 3 calls made to Ferguson's, who had the range in stock. I guess a 5-minute phone call isn't worth the trouble anymore.”
