“They changed out a board on the dryer, washing machine—circuit board or the main board. They did the work. I had some questions about the billing. I was supposed to get a discount. I'm not sure if I had the discount and so forth with the invoicing. There seemed to be a difference in opinion on that I think. I'd give them an A. The only issue I had had to do with the billing. They had two trips because they didn't have the board with them, I don't think, when they first came out—so they had to get the board and come back, and when they did, I think it had something to do with the billing that I had to call and question them about.”

“Somebody fixed my dryer. They came when they said they would, on time. I believe it was the dryer. I had them fix a microwave before too, about a year before that. I'd say a B+. They were awful high. It was a really small part and it was over $200. I mean it was kind of ridiculous for the small part that it was.”

“The time to come fix the problem took a little bit longer. Had I not had to pay a fee for them just to come out and tell me what the problem was, I would've used somebody else. But I was already committed, so what are you going to do? They fixed the problem, but they didn't tell me how long it would take for the units to start working properly. I thought that they had messed it up and didn't fix it right the first time, so I called them the next day to come back out. Had they told me that it took a full 24 hours to cycle, that would've been better too. I would give them a B.”

“Overall the experience was OK. It ended up positive. They weren't able to solve my problem. I called them up. I have a two-year-old dishwasher that's barely two years old, maybe a week over two years. I'm in a newly constructed home and unfortunately, the builder brought the machine before we closed, about two months before we closed. It was two months in June. I called them up, and they came out and spent about ten minutes here, and they said they know I need a part. So they ordered the part, and they came back in and they replaced the part. The part was very expensive. It was $4-something. When they changed the part out, the technician basically slapped the part in and left. I went to test the dishwasher, and it had the same problem. So I called them back, and they said, ‘OK, we'll come back out,’ and I said ‘OK, well, that's fine.’ He comes back and says that I need another part; it was close to $3. I said, ‘You know, this is a little nuts.’ I'm already sitting at $6, almost $7 on a 2-year-old dishwasher. That's about $1,2. So they supposedly cut me a deal on the part, and I said, ‘Fine. I need the dishwasher.’ So he came out about a week later, put the new part in, and left. Before he left, I asked if he was going to test it, and he said, ‘Don't worry, it's going to work.’ Well, it didn't work, and I was pretty upset. At $65, I was pretty upset. So I called the owner of the company, and they sent out their top technician, and he spent about four hours here. We got mismatched parts, and he said, ‘I'm going to get this working.’ We waited for some new parts to come in, and he came in and put the parts in at one at time now. Since we went to the back to figure out which one it was and neither one of them was it. So they were stumped, and I said, ‘OK, well, just refund my money. Worst comes to worst, I'll just go buy a dishwasher.’ So I called an appliance store where I had bought some other appliances, and I said, ‘I'm looking for a dishwasher—do you have anything in your scratch and dent?’ They said, ‘What's the matter with it? Didn't you just move in the house?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, they just can't fix it.’ They asked who I used, and they said they didn't use them, they used a different service. My wife called this different service, and they basically said, ‘You need to put a maintenance contract on it for a year.’ It was $3, and they guaranteed that they would fix the dishwasher. I was thinking that it's half the price of the other thing. So we put the contract on it, and they came while I was out of the country, and probably within an hour and a half, that thing's been working ever since. I don't know if the technicians were extremely thorough. I think they just took the diagnostics. They kept replacing parts, but I don't think they got the root cause of the error. I get it, I understand. Appliance Champion did right by me by refunding my money, so I can't say it was a horrible experience. It was just time consuming. Obviously if it's probably a simpler problem they can just slap a replacement card in there and they do it. I don't think they're a bad company. I think the owner and the manager did right. If they'd said, ‘Blah, blah, blah, too bad, so sorry for you,’ we would be having a different conversation. At the end of the day, they did well. They tried to fix it, they didn't, and they were unable to do it. They said, ‘So sorry for taking up your time,’ and did the right thing. That was my experience with them. I would give them a C. I do believe if the techs spent a little bit more time digging and finding—ultimately there was a card problem. They're average. They charge you a service charge to come out, and then they charge you for a component on top of a service charge. But that's what the service charge is for. They want to come in in ten minutes, slap something in there and go and charge you a service charge, which is a 3 minute or an hour charge and go to the next job and get $7. They're willing to come back out.”

“We've had two different people out. Overall, I'd say it was a positive experience. They fixed a dryer. The first time it was about five or six weeks to actually get the part ordered and figure out exactly what was wrong. One time, they had told me they were going to come and then they didn't show up. There was a problem with their communication from the office to the guy. But besides that, as far as the people and the techs go, they were good. I would give them a B.”

“They fixed my LG washer. They looked up the average price of sales online and charged me that. I'm assuming they have them in stock. That was reassuring that they weren't going to overcharge me. I kind of would have liked to pay the lowest price, but it made me feel like I wasn't just being totally ripped off. They were on time and, their technician was very polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. He left everything in a nice way. When he came and took a look at it, he found the problem quickly, then they ordered the part, and it came in quickly. He was back and gave me his cell number in case I ever had a problem. However, the bad news is that I thought that I had a problem about seven or eight days ago. I called him and left a message on his cell phone, and I never heard back from him. As it turned on, I think I figured the problem out myself. I would give them a B. My slight issue would be that I left him a message and he didn't call me back. As it turned out, I would have asked him the question that I think would solve the problem, and he would have said, ‘Oh yeah, fine,’ or whatever. But the problem didn't continue. My washer quit working when I was trying to wash a comforter, and it has a large and bulky setting on it that I have washed that comforter on previously. But when I took the comforter out and let it drain, and washed a lighter load, it did just fine. I think it just stopped because maybe it was overloaded.”

“For the most part, it was positive. There was good and bad in it, as far as I was concerned. I had him come out and check on my refrigerator, and he ended up putting in a new filter. They had to order the part that supposedly needed to be replaced. I paid over about $6, $65 what they told me so that when the part would come in, I would be $6, $65 to the good. When the part came in, my refrigerator in the meantime had started acting normal like there was nothing wrong with it. So I told them to cancel it and I would expect to get part of that $65 back. They never told me anything about restocking. They never called me or sent me a letter or anything saying that restocking was going to be x amount of dollars, it's going to be a whole $65 or anything. So that was the bad thing to me. I never got my $65 back. I never got any kind of communication from them. So I'm just finished with them at that point. I probably have to get my refrigerator fixed because it's acting up again. But it's not likely I'll go back to them or even recommend them. I never heard from them. I sort of expected, as a business, they would have said something like, ‘Forget you. I'm not going to give you your money back.’ But I didn't hear anything. The lady called me and said she wanted to set up an appointment. I said that I realized I don't need this done and it's probably some restocking safe, but I didn't think it'd be that much to restock an item. You're not losing anything, because they're restocking it and giving it back. Like I said, I never heard from them. They sort of left a bad taste in my mouth. The guy did great work. I wouldn't go to them again. I would give them a B-. The guy did a good job and he explained stuff. The service guy was cool. He came on time. He got here when he was supposed to. The guy was good. I'm not saying I wouldn't recommend them. Somebody else might have a totally different experience with them.”

“It was way negative. I had a terrible experience with them; they were just trying to take my money. That's all they were doing. They came in, the $69 was to tell me what's wrong with it and if I get it repaired, they'll minus the $69, and if I don't, I pay $69. That was the deal. So when they came in, the guy said it's going to take $4 or $45 for someone to come out and check it. I'm like, ‘That's what I called you for. You're still not telling me what's wrong with it, but you're telling me it's going to cost me $4 to get it checked again.’ It didn't make sense to me. So I did not want to pay the $69. I'm like, ‘You didn't do anything.’ When we got further, where we were going to call the cops, he just came and said that the compressor is bad and they need to change it and that's all it is. I wasn't satisfied or convinced with this. So we ordered a new compressor because the guy said the compressor was bad. But we did not get a repair; we paid him $69 and then we left and we ordered the compressor. The compressor came in. But that's not what was wrong with it. It just started by itself, it was never the compressor. We still have the same compressor that's running. We ordered an extra compressor now and it's sitting there. It was a terrible, terrible experience with them. When we talked to the office, they said that was their best tech. So that tells you about their company, I'm sorry. If the best tech doesn't know what he's doing, then I don't know what to say.”

“The service tech that worked on it was a really nice guy and his work was proficient. He was talkative, professional, did his job, and he was here on time. The person from the office called and gave me a heads up of when they were going to be here to let us know when the part was coming in. I think they even had a little trouble with the part. They notified me to let me know what was going on. They just kept us updated and just enjoyed the experience. Other than the fact that we had to pay money to get something fixed, everything was great. I would give them an A.”

“It was a fair experience. There was some good and bad. I ordered a part and the part came in. Then he said he thought it might be another part, and that he would order the other part, and then he never followed up or anything like that. So I guess I didn't need the other part. I don't know if there was miscommunication or something. Anyway, it was fair. It's working. I would give them a B. I think the work was good. They never followed up. He was like, ‘Well I don't know. It might be this, it might be that.’ He didn't seem authoritative about it.”

“They're very good. They installed a new icemaker and I had some other recurring problems with my refrigerator. It was under warranty, but Appliance Champion came and fixed it. The technician that came, Tyler, just seemed very knowledgeable. This refrigerator had been kind of a lemon, and my warranty company had sent several different companies out to work on it. When they finally got me hooked up with Appliance Champion, Tyler knew more than anybody and he fixed it. I would give them an A+.”

“They repaired a big Kenmore Elite refrigerator. It's working, and that's what counts. The first guy really knew what he was talking about. So he was very professional about it. I was a little disappointed, because they dropped the ball in rescheduling as far as getting the part back to us. The first guy ordered the part and then when I had to call them to have them schedule the delivery installation of the part, they admitted that they dropped the ball on that. I would give them a B.”
