“I had a heating and air conditioning person; they put in a whole system. There was no air conditioning, and it had oil heat, so I had to change to gas and got air conditioning. I absolutely remember the company that put my system in—Oliver. I have a contract with them. They put the system in about four years ago. They come out, and they put everything in nicely—no problem, everything was straight and all that. They also were very neat, and everything was well done. You do get a contract. I have a warranty for ten years. I get a contract every year, so I have them come out in the spring for the air conditioning and in the fall for the heat. I've had to call them in an emergency, and their response was terrific. I had to call them about a thermostat; it malfunctioned in the winter, and they were there the same night to replace it. The temperature was going down to the low 50s; it was getting a little chilly. I like companies that are really good. I don't keep them otherwise. But I really rarely get anybody bad. I try to look at things—different types of features, other people—and I would give them the same high rating, an A+.”

“Everything with Oliver has gone well. We've been using Oliver since the '70s, when they opened up. It has absolutely always been a positive experience. They're friendly, for one thing. I don't feel like it's going to be a problem when they come in and I'm alone in the house—I feel safe. They're friendly, and they introduce each other when they come in or if somebody comes to check, which they do. When they were redoing the attic, it took them five days to suck out everything and then put everything back in. But each time someone different came, they stopped and introduced me, told me who he was, what he was doing here, et cetera, which made me feel extremely safe. They also do air conditioning service the same way. I was so pleased when I found out they do plumbing. The last thing I got was plumbing, and I thought, 'Hey, this is great,' because the plumbers that I've had before were having trouble climbing ladders. They were getting older, and I can see that they're going to be around for not much longer, and so I wanted somebody that I could count on. When I signed up for plumbing, I found that I needed a new electrician. So I called in and said, 'Yes, I'll take it.' Now I'm bugging them with a letter saying, 'Put carpentry on and you've got it made.' They'd have everything, because I could use a carpenter once in a while. So all of these fields have been positive experiences. Oliver's clean, for one thing. They'll put the shoe covers over their shoes when they walk in. The living room is linoleum because I have two puppies, so there's not a rug to walk on. I said, 'You can walk on it, it's OK,' but no, no, no—they put it on. We're absolutely dealing with professionals here. And I recommend them to everyone. I say, 'Just go to Oliver.' I was a teacher for 54 years, and I would give them an A+, 100 percent absolutely. I was married for 54 years, I've been around for 82 years, and I have never had such pleasant people enter the house and do work.”

“For heating and air conditioning, I call on Oliver. I've been using them for at least as long as we've been in our house, which is about 11 years. The technicians from Oliver are also excellent. Their customer service is excellent, and any repairs that they've done have held up over time. I would grade them an A. Oliver is plumbing and heating and air conditioning.”

“Oliver were the first people that I called. They were very courteous, they put the things on their shoes before they came in, and they went about their business and did what they had to do. They explain everything to you or show something to you if you have any concerns. I would recommend them highly. They had to give us a new furnace. Actually, it started out with the air conditioning unit—an old air conditioner; it came with the house along with the furnace—naturally, in the middle of the summer, on the hottest day of the year. The gentleman who came to look at it said, 'It doesn't make sense to replace an air conditioner only, when a year later you'll have to replace the furnace. If that's what you wanted to do, that's your money that you're spending, but it's cheaper—your heating system is old, so, if you do both at the same time you get a better break.' He went through everything—where the vents were and so forth and so on—and he looked at it all. He said, 'I would get this kind of air conditioner and this kind of heating system because it's computerized, it's new and everything. Anytime you have a problem you call us.' It was like a four-year warranty on everything. There was a little problem with the air conditioning unit, but it was very minor, but I've never had a problem with the heating. I've used them since; to me, they're good. I would give them an A+, because if something did happen I can always call them and tell them, 'Look, you guys were just here. Something doesn't sound right to me. It's not shutting off,' or whatever it is, and they send somebody. They did tell me that I had the temperature too low. If I moved the temperature up to 73 or 74, it will come on and go off at a normal basis. That was one of the problems because I had it down, and you had to put a coat on in here.”

“We did have our ducts cleaned. The duct cleaning was Oliver, and they were excellent. They were respectful of both me and my home when they came in. The two men that came were very nice and worked very neatly and promptly. I would give them an A. I haven't had any bad people.”
