My heater was fine. He just had to do a couple of things to that. My air conditioner is not in that good shape, but even so, he said that he could fix it for the time being. I'm thinking of moving, so I don't really want to have to put a new one in if I don't have to. It'll be years before I move, so in the meantime, maybe I will have to replace it. He didn't think I had to do that at this time, just the heater and the air conditioner. I would give them an A, and I would certainly call them again if I needed to.”

The problem reoccurred the following day because we had a snowstorm, but the guy who had come out and worked on the problem the night before spent about a half hour to 45 minutes on the phone with me. He walked me through solving the problem because there was no way he was going to be able to get here—we'd had about 10 inches of snow, and he was about 45 minutes away. The first thing I liked was him coming out and addressing the problem, and then when it didn't work entirely right, he spent time with me on the phone the next day so I could fix it. I chose them because when I looked for emergency service from HVAC companies in my area, the other place I called didn't get back to me. When you call Donnelly's off hours, you get an answering service, and they try to reach the technician. I explained the problem to the answering service and got a call from the technician within 15 to 20 minutes. He told me he'd be right down to take care of the problem. The quick turnaround—from the phone call, the quick service, and everything—makes them an A+ company.”

I've had new air conditioner put in, a replacement of our air conditioner and heaters. They've done a lot of work for me over the past several years, and I've never had problems with them, either. I had problems with the heater, which was replaced for the third time, and when Donnelly's replaced it, I haven't had problems since—that's the difference. I give them an A all the way around. They come out and they do everything they say they're going to do. I've never had problems with them coming back after they've done stuff.”

“We use Donnelly's for everything that's related to plumbing and heating. In the last four years they've put in a new hot water heater, they put in a water softener, and they put in a new battery backup sump pump. They also maintain our air conditioning and heating system. They have one technician that we ask for all the time whose name is Michael, who is spectacular. The interesting thing is—a quick story—last year during the hurricane, all of our neighbors had from three to ten inches of water in their basements. Michael had convinced us to consider upgrading the battery backup sump pump system that we had, because the one that we had previously—when we moved into the house—was one that was bought and self-installed. He put in the upgrade, and it saved us. Ours was the only dry basement in the neighborhood. We rely on them and trust them implicitly.”

“They're very good; they're very prompt and professional. Their services are excellent, and they're very mindful of keeping the house clean when they come in and leaving everything the way they found it, so I appreciate that. We have a water filtration system, and they service that every year and clean the tanks and put in new filters. And we had them in recently—we have one of those fluorescent bulbs in our heating system, and that burned out as well as the lamp ballast. They replaced that for us. Our air conditioner fan went, the outside unit fan went, so we had to have that replaced, and they also put this chemical on our outside unit to help extend the life of our outside unit, so that helped.”

“About this time last year my air conditioner was pretty much kaput, and Donnelly suggested we replace that and a heater because it was cheaper to do both at the same, and the heater was probably going to go, too. They put them both in and they did an excellent job. They come back and check it, and I think they've done some plumbing for us. I'm very happy with them. We have, like, a gold star service contract with them, so I pay that and then they just come out and do whatever. I believe that does put me first on the list. They're always very prompt, and they see you the next day if they can. I've had the same technician, I can't remember his name, but he's excellent—that makes a difference. He put it in, so he came this year and checked it out. We're very happy. But mostly, they've done air conditioning; we needed the air conditioner, they came, they put it in in one day, and put a heater in. I will continue to use this company. I just renewed my gold star contract. I would refer them to others.”

They were out the same day I called. They ordered a part, or they tried to—at first they attempted to fix the part—and they basically did everything they could. Then, within a day, they had a new furnace in, because it was just shot—it was 30 years old. I would give them a ten out of ten as far as how they came out immediately, the politeness of the fellow, the helpfulness, the personal follow-up calls from the owner. They left us an extra plug-in heater while they were here, so we wouldn't freeze to death on the day that we had to wait. I absolutely would recommend them—110 percent.”

“They did work for me in mid-March of this year. Our heater had gotten shut off. It ended up just being the switch was flipped. I guess when we were tearing stuff down in the basement we hit the switch or something. The guy actually, since he was out here, went over everything on the furnace and looked it all over. He was really helpful. He told us everything that I might need in the future and stuff like that. It was actually an easy fix, but it was nice that he went over everything anyway and didn't just flip the switch on and say all right. They were very prompt. They came out right away because we had kids in the house, and we needed somebody before they got home because it was so cold. That was a really good experience, actually.”

“We were having problems with our air conditioner, so we actually installed a new thermostat because we thought that was the problem, but that didn't work. So I called Donnelly's—I'd called them before for plumbing issues—and they have been fantastic. They're wonderful. Customer service is always awesome; that's why I keep going back to them, because they're awesome. They come, and they give the best advice. Even if they can't help, they tell me where I can go, which is what they did yesterday. The guys came out, they checked it out, and they think that it's more of an issue with the heat pump, which is not what they specialize in. They redirected me and told me who does. “They've always been on time and been courteous and done what we needed them to do, and we have recommended them to other users. They have done heating, I guess, and air as well. We had a major replacement we had to do because we had a leak from our sink upstairs, down through our ceiling to downstairs. We had to have them come in and replace all that. Their cleanup and everything was fine. I didn't have to call them back for any problems at all. Knowing what all these customer satisfaction programs are about, I'd give them an A. I would use them again if I had plumbing needs.”
