“Whole point of the survey, we had two agents come to our house: The one for the heater and the other came for two plumbing reasons: to replace two facuets he was excellent at that, the other reason was to look at an old sink and let us know what the cost would be to replace it. we never heard back.”
“Totally taken advantage of, probably lied to and all in all treated poorly. Guest bathroom toilet was leaking when flushed, was told the entire toilet would probably burst if not replaced(older seal on bottom of cistern). Quoted over 1000 for a two piece Koehler comfort height toilet. I had scheduled the appointment because I had off Good Friday and I had guests coming in next day for Easter. I cannot take off easily and have limited vacation days that I am saving for an actual vacation so was in such a bind I felt I had to get it done. But I had been sent a salesman not a plumber! He called for someone to do the work, which was completed in less than 45 minutes. After doing the quote I asked if there was a discount for their “membership program” of which I already belonged. He was very surprised and cagey but I did get a bit off. All in all, work was done quickly and new toilet is fine. However; $1000 to install a $250 toilet in under an hour after what I’ve been told by friends was a false pressure tactic by saying my whole toilet would explode from an old seal is outrageous and deceptive. I haven’t complained because it was my choice to have it done, but due to circumstances I hadn’t the time to price this out or get a second opinion. I felt stuck and pressured and taken advantage of and will never use a large company again; I will stick to a lone plumber only after this.”
