“I gave them the best rating. What else can I say? They came at the dedicated time. There were two that came, the supervisor and his assistant. They knew what needed to be done and did it. They didn't waste time and didn't take breaks. They were polite and steady workers and when the job was done, they packed up and left. I bought a pizza for them and they didn't take time to eat it but took it with them to eat on their way to their next job.”

“We have been in house for almost 30 years. Our original HVAC contractor installed the A/C and furnace units to the wrong floors. Twelve years later, we had a different contractor come to replace a heat exchanger. Only then did we learn of the incorrect installation. That contractor rearranged the plenums leaving the attic in chaos of duct work patching. Four years later a compressor died. Our current contractor said that Trane was better than Carrier and totally reworked the air handling and distribution. Eleven years later, two days after the warranty expired, I was told I needed to buy a new compressor and that it would take several weeks to get it from Mexico! Each of my prior contractors seemed sincere in the beginning, but neither would explain why certain equipment was being installed and never discussed possible options, only what they wanted to sell. A friend told me that he was very satisfied with A#1 Air, that the people were helpful and very concerned that all was installed and maintained properly. Our first meeting with A#1 sales consultant was a meaningful discussion of our needs concerning type of heating and air conditioning available and that while they could install any of several maker's equipment, for our needs Lennox would best meet our requirements. He showed us the benefits of the S30 smart thermostat controller. We agreed to their price, which was lower than that we paid 11 years prior. Installation was prompt and the installers were very courteous and ever mindful of tracking stuff into the house. I was not aware that my agreed to price included completely replacing all of the ducts with highly insulated new ducts. A pleasant surprise. The installation was completed on time and their cleanup made it difficult to see that anyone had been here. Before leaving, the lead technician spent time showing what the smart controllers could do and verified their installation to the WiFi network. It's been almost two years since that installation. The A/C units installed are silent in even 100+ degree days. Cooling and heating are seamless, silent and draft-free throughout our 3800 SQFT house. Our only service has been a complementary wellness check. What has been most satisfying to me is to know at last how good heating and air conditioning can be. The HEPA filters keep the house virtually dust free. Monitoring of both temperature and humidity and adjusting the rate of cooling and heating keeps the house constantly comfortable, day and night. The thermostats allow us to change system status from home or away from anywhere in the world. Our savings on seasonal gas and electricity is about 15% over our previous system that was noisy, drafty and dusty. While my praise seems more toward the final product than those who sold and installed it, it was those who sold and installed it that made it happen for us. Knowing what to sell to a customer is ultimately the best service a company can provide. A#1 Air is the best I've experienced in my 50 years as an adult. (Still don't know what I want to do when I grow up!)”

“The first technician that came out on 9/25 didn't have a filter on his truck. He didn't offer to reschedule the appointment. I had to call myself. Sam Andrei came out on 9/26. He was very thorough, polite, friendly, and answered all of our questions. He did a great job. I would love for him to return on our next check-up.”

“First, our install did not pass city inspection. The technician that came to do the quality check did not seem to understand the fix need and had to call someone to explain it. In doing the repair, he loosened a gas valve and we noticed the smell of gas in our home. Another technician was sent out to fix the gas leak and he still had to fix the AA unit repair the first technician did not fix correctly. A#1 needs to do a better job of testing and evaluating people they put in the field.”

“Overall the total experience was good related to the equipment and installation. What I disliked the most was not knowing all the hidden facts regarding my decision to finance the cost of the new A/C through A#1. I was not told that the financed amount would be put on a new Wells Fargo Visa card. I was also not told that the Visa card would have a greater spending limit than the amount I financed. Therefore when I received my next set of quarterly credit scores from the three credit bureaus I discovered that one of the scores dropped from an excellent to good status. Just the fact that my credit scores were negatively impacted makes me regret the whole experience of going with A#1.”

“They did it the next day, everybody was friendly, they gave me several different options, and I have five years financing with no interest - they hooked me up with that. So I would recommend them. “The installation was good, that went well and quick but I've been trying to contact them for the past three months to get them back out here and I have gotten no response from them. They failed to fulfill part of the agreement that we agreed upon when they sold me the new unit. The quality of work was good, but their follow up was horrible so I would probably say a C-.”

“A#1 Air serviced the air conditioner at someone else’s house and at my house. I use their plumbing services, too. I'm going to have to use them again because I have major plumbing problems. They did major plumbing under half of the house. They replaced the main pipes through the kitchen, and I'm going to have them out to do the rest of the pipes under the house. I've used them off and on for years.”

“I think they were - they called in advance to schedule an appointment, they remind us when inspections are due, and if my credit card expires they're not hounding me incessantly - they work with me for them to get paid. They do a quarterly inspection, a summer inspection. I would say a B+, they recommended replacing a pan that had very minor rust and they said it doesn't need to be done, just to keep an eye out instead of saying we should replace it and obviously it doesn't need to be replaced so I didn't like the upselling. I didn't care - I had an air conditioning drip recently and they had trouble getting back with me. About a month ago my air conditioning of dripping, when the holes were clogged and they called me back but I was at work and I called and said hey I missed your call can you have your tech call me back and he never did and I didn't like that. I called him like three times and the tech never called me back. Instead of a B+ give them a B- because I remember it was a hassle to get someone to call me back and they never did. They called me once and then after that they never called me back despite a few more calls to their customer service.”

“They came out on a Saturday and it took them just a couple hours. They took everything out, they gave us a really good deal, and I actually went into labor that night and so instead of starting everything on the next day like they had originally said they started the day after and they were even willing to put us in a hotel room and everything since we had the little one already. We didn't take them up on the offer but they were absolutely going to do that and it took them two days to get everything completely done. They cleaned up after themselves, they made sure that - they had to raise a part of our ceiling because it had a fake ceiling or whatever it's called in our hallway. They got rid of that and they matched the paint and the texture of the wall and ceiling, they just did an incredible job. They even because they had moved it up to the attic for the A/C, they even added the fireman stairs and everything. It was just really easy, they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. They told me everything, explaining it all, it was an awesome experience. No complaints.”

“The salesman did not understand how installation works, told us that oh yea they'll put down this drape and make sure this area's not a mess - didn't happen, had a huge mess. No, I had to clean it all up myself. So I called them and let them know that their salesmen needs to go through a day with install so they understand what's going on because now we're still having problems with it. We've got the whole system replaced and then now our drain tube that goes out into our backyard is three times as long and it makes no sense. It sticks out like a sore thumb and it was - no one from A One called me back so I think their service sucks. I don't appreciate being treated like a second hand citizen when all they care about is their stupid money. They need to realize that when you send a salesman out here, the salesman needs to know exactly what's going on and don't make promises that you can't keep. They replaced the air conditioner, all the ducts and everything, and added another return. I would say their work was very poor. They get a big ole 0 from me.”
