Recently had casteel come out to fix an AC issue not cooling. They are Way Overpriced and I feel like not very honest. The first thing the tech told me was that first off you need a thermostat and its not covered under warranty. Reason stated it was not sending low voltage to outside unit. The price quoted for just the thermostat was 512, for a $150 part. Which means to install the faceplate, 2-3 wires to connect, it was going to cost $372 labor. Took him about 10 minutes to install so you can do the math on the labor rate. He tried to convince me the cost was high for a 3 yr warranty that they provide. BUT the part comes with a 5 year manufacturer warranty as long as professionally installed. Quality of work was good but way overpriced. Btw in the write up on my receipt, only the faulty transformer was listed as the issue, nothing about the thermostat. Hmmmm. I believe the transformer would be the part that would direct current to the outside unit. So not sure the thermostat was an issue at all Update: invoice 1003677 Feb 20. Read back over description, does say faulty thermostat but was tested with faulty transformer. Thermostat was not retested after transformer was replaced

I'm so grateful for the team at Casteel. I've never had a bad experience with their office folks or technicians. Cody came by yesterday and inspected my HVAC systems in my new home. There were several conditions that I would not expect a home inspector to find. Cody carefully went over each system, identified issues and sympathetically revealed the costs involved. Thank you Cody

We replaced one of our HVAC units in 2024. A few days before listing our home, our AC stopped cooling. I called Casteel in a panic, and they scheduled a technician for the very next morning. Darrell was the tech that came out. He was professional, thorough, and very courteous. He reassured me the issue was likely something simple. After diagnosing the problem, he explained everything to me and had our system running again in no time. Best of all, the repair was covered under warranty and Darrell provided excellent service!

Chuck came out and correctly diagnosed the issue with our old system. It needed to be replaced. Clint came out the same day and discussed the various options. We went with the higher end Daikin system. It wasn't cheap but we believe it will provide the best service and value. Yesterday, Levi, Chase, and David came at 7am to get started on the install. It was an all day job and they took great care to keep our home clean. All three were courteous and respectful. They explained what they were doing and why. Because of all 5 of the people I have mentioned, I highly recommend using Casteel for any HVAC needs you have. The Daikin system is whisper quiet and we love the thermostat in each zone that enables an individualized climate for each room. Thank you for great service!

We are beyond happy with the service we received from Casteel today. Our old water heater was on its last leg and needed to be replaced ASAP. Another company came out, charged an estimate fee, and scheduled an appointment, which they later cancelled and delayed. We called Casteel and they sent someone out the same day. Jamie, the technician, was super friendly and knowledgeable. He replaced the water heater the same day for a cheaper price than we were quoted by the other company. He explained everything clearly and did excellent work. We couldn't have imagined a better technician and we highly recommend him. It's great to have peace of mind knowing our water heater isn't going to burst and flood our house tonight. Great overall experience and would recommend Casteel and Jamie to anyone.
