Addressing the Problem

In general, the foundation repair contractor will conduct extensive investigation of any damage around the structure of the home to determine its nature and possible causes. In an initial site inspection, the contractor will walk the property to inspect visually, and he or she may also examine original structural and architectural drawings and grading plans if they are available. The contractor may also perform an elevation survey to gauge the degree of movement the foundation has suffered. Once all the evidence has been gathered, the contractor can determine the best method to complete the foundation repair.
