Plaster overspray on the light fixtures in both bathrooms that while easy to clean, I shouldn't have to do this. Excellent painters, great personalities, taught me some \"tricks of the trade.\"  But, there must have been a disconnect between the work order saying \"drywall repair\" and what was to be done, installing two 8X10 drywall patches from 1990's vintage intercom speakers removed.  This required an air compressor, and texture spraying but painter had to drive to Carrolton to get what he neeed, which was a couple hours.  He was under impression it was just a small drywall repair he could handle.   On the final day, was told they are taking an early lunch 11:30, to return earlier and finish earlier.  However, lunch out and sitting in pickup took close to two hours, and work did not get started back until around 1:30 and it was around 4: 45 pm before finishing.   So ...  in my opinion, improved communication of work to be done, and a more strick hours of operation, could have concluded the project in 1.5 days, not 2 full days.  And, he had to bring a 3rd person on the second day in order to finish.   I have used a remodler three times this year, bathrooms.   He arrives at 8:30.  Takes lunch at 12:30 - 1:30 and leaves promptly at 5:30.  Every single day.  No standing around or us guessing.  The last Alliance project had a husband and wife team paint our great room, kitchen, some cabinets and a hallway and they were fantastic.  We will request them again, if we need Allicance.  Finally, I would rather the painter did not know about this review, for security reasons. The house was filthy after the team left. We had someone come touch up and it took him over 3 hours and everything was still not fixed.  The cabinets we paid extra for were barely painted and were not prepped.  The hinges had paint all over them.  Things I talked about with the program manager (like a piece of trim on the inside of the back door) not painted despite discussing it. It was later painted very slopply.  They sealed our drawer closed with paint in the master then \"fixed it\" by ripping it off and you can still see where they did that.  We found some random person's identification documentation (a temporary Driver's License) not belonging to anyone on the crew in our refrigerator.  We stopped by one day and the team had left the 5 gallon bucket of paint with the lid off and it had already dried the top layer.  I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. I expected the painters to sand where needed.  I would have paid another $1000 to get this right.  I was told that the 1x4 part of the crown molding may have been rougher than the crown. When the lights are on you can see these spots.  The door casings had spots that needed sanding.  I was told that the installer used caulk instead of wood putty to fill the nail holes and that it was hard to sand off.  The crew WAS able to remove the caulk where I pointed it out.  They should have gone back and done all of the doors this way since they could, in fact, actually remove the caulk and make the casings look much better.  I did ask them to.  They also did not get all of the nail holes covered.  It does me no good to know that supposedly the door installers and the carpenter who put in the crown/base trim should have used putty and/or should have sanded down everything.  They were long gone and I expected Alliance to take care of it.  I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA.  I fully expected a flawless job because Alliance had done the work in my next-door neighbor’s house and that work WAS flawless.  The door going into the garage from the laundry room has bubbles in the paint on both sides.  THIS IS A BRAND NEW PRIMED DOOR.  The crew came back on 12/26/24 and sanded a few places, put on a bit of paint and left the door at that.  There is a line all around the living room wall where a piece of trim was removed.  Instead of up-charging to spackle and texture in that area and cover where the wood was removed, the crew just painted over it.  Alliance did charge an extra $1200 to spackle and texture above the base trim to cover a line where the previous base trim was.  WHY WOULD THE CREW NOT MENTION THAT SO YOU COULD CHARGE ME TO COVER THAT LINE IN THE LIVING ROOM AS WELL?  I would have paid for it.  They had to have seen it.  I did not realize it showed until I turned on the big light in my living room the day after I paid in full.  My heart sank.  These are the MAIN things that I'm very unhappy with.  To me, for $18,000, they are major things.  We saved a long time to get that $18,000.  I went ahead and paid but I am not satisfied.  I did point these things out to the crew and to Matt-except for the line in the living room.  As I said, I did not see that until a day after Alliance was paid in full and I turned the main living room lights on.  Everyone at Alliance have been very pleasant but I felt like I was getting excuses as to why this or that wouldn't work every time I pointed out an area of concern.  THAT DON’T GET IT DONE.  I wanted solutions.  I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA.  I would be so happy if someone came back and corrected these things but I do not expect that will actually happen.  It gives me no pleasure to give a less than stellar review.  I do think the crew is very talented and did a great job prepping and caulking.  They did a great job placing new sheetrock, spackle and texture on a section of the wall in the den.  They were courteous, professional and very nice to work with. Most of the painting was very good.  My problem is that where there were issues that needed solutions. Lets just say our experience was less than perfect. This project was suppose to be done in one week. Called Collin and he made arrangements to take care of the gutters and would fix the roofing material. Because of that, Alliance fired that crew.\n\nSecond crew came in and did a good job picking up where the other crew left off. As the job came to an end we were asking about the coverage because the paint wasn't covering very well. They blamed it on the stucco and said it should have 3 coats not 2 but they could be happy to charge me additional money if the paint didn't cure and look right! (the sales person should know this in his bidding process and we Never saw or heard for him again ) We did have them touch up a few places and\nThank you!\nTHE BIG PROBLEM>>>\nCollin the project manager I had given him the roofers name and number that we knew and trusted. The one repair was done , but Collin did not mention to the roofer that there was another area that needed to be done too. Collin called the roofer and they came out and did the repair to the other side of the roof that was not told to them in the beginning. So there was an additional charge to take care of that. Alliance wouldn't pay the roofer the additional money that was due to them so the roofer reached out to me asking me to take care of this. So I did $550.00. Collin and Michelle told me on the phone that they will not pay me back because I paid the roofer (because I don't want to owe anyone and have a lien on my house) directly.\n\nYou damaged my home and I paid you a lot of money to have you stiff me!!!!!
