Irrigation Audits

The professional irrigation audit is the prime way to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the system. A certified landscape irrigation auditor will visit the home and perform tests and inspections to determine how well the system is doing, any repairs or adjustments that may be needed, and what kinds of improvements will make the biggest difference for the landscaping as well as the water bill. Among the many tests performed, the auditor will often take a soil probe to see how deep the roots in the landscaping run and suggest changes in the watering schedule to better distribute moisture to the roots. A catch test may also be performed, which measures how much water each sprinkler head is emitting to make sure that all of the water is being used by the lawn and shrubs and not resulting in runoff or waste.
