They gutted my entire first floor and redid it. I have a 1974 split level, and I had on the main living level three rooms—a dining room, kitchen, and living room, all of which were small rooms, as well as a foyer. They tore down all the walls and made it one big, open space. It was a big project. I never heard one foul word out of anybody's mouth the entire time, not once. I have a dog, and they were very good about working around her. They never left a mess. Even in the middle of the project, every day, things were cleaned up because we had to live here during the whole thing. It was exactly what I envisioned it to be. We had a couple issues where things weren't quite right, and they were fixed. You always run into little issues along the way. The house was built in 1974, and I'm the original owner, so I knew the builder. Unfortunately, the builder that built this house pulled some shoddy little tricks and got away with it. When we ripped things out, we found them, and they had to be fixed. Of course, they weren't in the budget. But other than those unforeseen things, he kept it pretty much on budget and on time. The finish work was very nice as far as the trim, painting, and all that finish work. It was all done really well. If I have anything major to do again, I won't even get other estimates. I will call him. They're definitely an A+.
I've worked with Apter twice now on some very big projects. I've found that they were always responsive and had very personal service. You ask them to do something, and they make sure they get it done and get it done right. They deliver the project on time. For the most recent work, they were the general contractor for a major installation project on the interior of my home. They had to do demolition work on ceilings, they had to make sure that the insulation was properly installed, and then they had to reinstall new drywall. The place was painted, and they installed new closet doors and hardware. I would give them an A grade, and I have no complaints.
I would grade the company as an A.
They worked every day. The guys did their job and did it pretty professionally, so I'm very happy with it. They removed the garage that I had and built in a new one. They remodeled the inside of the house, took out the ceiling, and put a cathedral ceiling in. They then sided the whole thing. It was a pretty major renovation. I chose them because I knew that some of the other people in the neighborhood had the company do some work for them, and they had a good experience. We followed behind them and had a good experience as well. The company gets an A.
We've used them more than once. I liked the quality of their work. Three years ago, they did the remodel of our sunroom, which included a built-in heated floor and a lot of custom woodwork. They're A-grade quality.
Apter is an A.
They are very responsive, and it's important to them that the work is done right. The job was a condo remodel that was quite extensive.
They've done restoration on two houses, and we were especially appreciative of the fact that they sought out ways to save us money, and they did it. They were upgrading older houses. They were recommended to us by the original people that were involved in selling the property to us. The thing that sealed it for us is that we had an architect that designed one of the houses, and Andy himself sat in on some of those conversations and turned what wasn't a very satisfactory design around. He influenced the architect to produce a better product. I would give them an A grade, without a doubt.
I've used Apter Remodeling four times, and I recommend them all the time. The quality of their work is excellent, they stay on schedule, and they clean up after themselves perfectly. I like the people, and Andy is terrific. I have nothing negative to say. I've had them do two different kitchens, a bathroom, and a family room, and I would use them again in a heartbeat. They're A+.
They did a great job, and we love it. They did our master bedroom, bathroom, and closet as well as a little bit of work around our bar area. They were absolutely over-the-top helpful. They have a good reputation, and we felt comfortable that they would be able to do the job at the quality we wanted—A+.
