Hackney Carpet did an awesome job. Everything was very timely, and I liked their customer service. I can't say anything bad about them. They did a great job, and I'll do business with them again. They put in carpet on my stairs, and their work was fantastic.
The people from Hackney Carpet were really professional and really quick, and they did a good job. They carpeted the basement and the first floor of my townhome. I checked the Best Pick Reports guide and found them in there.
They carpeted about half of the house, so it was about 650 or 700 square feet. They're amazing—they were great. When the gentleman came in, he knew I was trying to sell my house, so he knew my price range was going to be on the lower side. He offered me several different varieties of carpeting that were within my price range. I also showed him the paint swatches that I was going to be painting, since usually that kind of thing goes hand in hand—you paint first and put carpet in. When I did, he said, 'This is one that I would go to because it will be dark enough but not too dark for your place.' He was spot-on. My experience with him has been great. Actually, my home did not sell, and I was thinking about ripping up those carpets and going back to Hackney Carpet for some hardwood.
I cannot complain about them—they were excellent. They did carpet, and it was very fast, very quick, and very good.
They did a fine job. I have known them for a very long time. I've bought carpet from them before, and my son has bought carpet from them based on my recommendation, so we've both been very happy. The last time I used Hackney Carpet was for three bedrooms. There was one problem, which they took care of immediately. We bought a thicker carpet that stuck up a little higher, and the doors did not want to fit, but they sent someone out to take care of it at no charge to us.
Hackney Carpet put in some hardwoods for me when I changed from carpet. I liked that the guy came very quickly to look at my situation and gave me a price that held true, and I liked that the crew that came to do it was just great. I would have those guys back in my house any time. They were nice to deal with, and they did great work. The floors look excellent. They cleaned everything up and left me shining. It wasn't the whole house, but it was a good bit of square footage. This little house that I bought had hardwoods only in the foyer, and then the big oversized living room and all the bedrooms were carpet. I had them do the living room, the master suite, and the closet. I left the two secondary bedrooms as carpet. They did about two thirds of the house.
Hackney Carpet carpeted about 30 square yards for me. They had good, personal service, and they did a nice job. There was one very, very minor concern that they took care of immediately, so overall, I'd give them an excellent rating.
I liked their timing, the way it's organized and managed, and their people that came out and installed the carpet—everything. They did some wood flooring, too. My home is about 5,000 square feet, so they did quite a bit. I chose them because of word of mouth from other people. I've used them in the past, and they were the same level of quality as before. I would give them an A+.
He came to the house and showed me all the choices, which was nice compared to going to a big box store where you have to look at them there and may not get to take any samples. It was nice, personal service. I was getting ready to sell a house, so I was just getting carpet in a couple of rooms. They matched it to the carpet I already had on the stairs for me, so that was nice. They get an A from me.
I liked the salesperson and his professionalism and follow-up. That is the reason that he got the business. His depth of knowledge exposed me to everything I needed to consider, so it helped make my review of the competition easier. The installation of it was fine. There was one thing he had to follow up with, and he did. They did carpeting on the whole second floor of my home, probably about 1,400 square feet. My experience was good—there was a little issue, but he took care of it, so I don't consider that an issue.
