Houston Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring is a long-wearing material made with a plastic laminate surface layer, over a high-density coreboard, that is pressed to mimic the look of many other surfaces, including stone, tile, and natural wood. In some cases, laminate can be installed over existing floors, but it does need a moisture barrier underneath and foam underpadding to muffle noise. Although laminates are very tough, unlike hardwoods and tile, their material and construction make them impossible to refinish after they suffer damage. Laminates are not recommended for areas prone to excessive moisture or abrasive wear.
