Washing Machine Problems

Clothes not clean or odors. High-efficiency, low-water-usage machines depend on a low-sudsing soap for proper cleaning, known as HE soap.  The proper amount must be used for optimum cleaning and odor control;  too much soap can have a negative effect on the machine. Also, washers now must be cleaned regularly with an approved washing machine cleaner. Follow the machine’s use and care guide instructions.

Leaks. Leaks do not go away by themselves. Instead, leaks usually get worse over time and, if ignored, can harm other parts of the machine and the floor.

Noises. Many noises can be corrected by checking the level of the washer and adjusting the feet, if needed.
